Birmingham NEC/Airport hotel

Convenient and near airport/NEC - less than 10 min drive. Typical room standard for premier inn, comfortable beds and very clean. The dinner menu is extensive and was decent quality, though you did have to wait for a table (though there were lots of empty but reserved tables around). Check in was a little confusing if members of the party arrive separately. I arrived first and checked in at the kiosk and added the other members name to the booking (as instructed by staff) . Was told as long as they were named on booking and had the room number they would be fine to check in separately. When my cousin arrived later was told there was no booking with her name attached, but the staff member then just gave her a key for the room when she told them which number. No security check was done to check, she could have gotten the key to any room, which is especially concerning as at that point I was a sole female in the room on the ground floor!! I think this is something that needs addressing. Otherwise a decent stay for the price before our 6am flight next day.

Self check in and out (didn’t like having no one to ask queries), too few staff on bar and restaurant, food was ok breakfast but dinner was truly awful. Robot waiter got lost offering burgers to all the other tables before getting to its destination and had to be shown where to go by waitress kinda funny unless it’s your meal getting cold Would absolutely not stay again

If you want a good night's sleep, avoid rooms on the bottom floor, especially room number 1. I slept only 2-3 hours due to the consistent banging of doors by the entrance.

This is the 3rd year we've stayed at this hotel because they are so good and perfectly located for NEC and airport. Very clean and comfortable. Special thanks this year to Gigi and the manager for upgrading our room foc to make room for our Polish friend who was travelling alone. We really appreciate the kindness.

An early morning flight into the airport and finding the hotel was easy,We arrived at the hotel at around 2am and was greeted by a gentleman at the desk.Turns out I made a mistake with the booking and was lucky enough that the gentleman managed to find a room for us, already made up.We were greatfull that the gentleman had a look on the computer as we were facing a 3 1/2 hr drve home.We had a good night sleep and went for breakfast which was well laid out and very tasty. Thank you great stay 👍🏼
