Birmingham NEC/Airport hotel

We have stayed here a few times noq when going abroad and this time it was both sides of our holiday. The service from check in was brilliant, really friendly and always talking to my daughter as well as myself. Chelsea went out of her way for my daughter during dinner gettong her colouring pictures to match her princess dress and the use of AI such as Roombas and Ruby is reallt clever. Beds clean and comfy as always and plenty of parking. Will continue to use when in the area.

Convenient hotel for airport parking as the short run car park is literally next door, although the £15 car park charge is a bit steep considering the amount of time most people spend at the hotel, we were there for less than 12 hours. The room was of usual standard, but the evening meal was very good, and service in the restaurant was good.

Stayed here for 1 night as we were visiting the Gladiators Experience at the NEC. Our car was broken into overnight in the hotel car park as were several others, others had tyres slashed. Staff were great and very helpful but we found out that events like this are a regular occurrence and customer vehicles are targeted regularly. 3 days have passed since this happened and I’ve still not been contacted by the police or the car park operators Horizon Parking.

Restaurant - allergen communication inadequate, informed waitress of serious egg allergy as directed by the greeter who showed us to the table, but was still served a meal with an egg on the plate, when I asked the waitress serving if this was the allergy meal she stated yes gesturing toward the allergy stick in the meal ! I then cancelled the meal which wasn’t passed on as another waitress came to inform me a fresh meal was being prepared so I had to inform her that I had already cancelled my meal. Communication and allergy procedures/knowledge needs serious improvement ! Premier Plus Room - was not cleaned to a good standard, crumbs left in fridge, drink spillage stains on headboard and wall, pillows looked like they had been slept on and not had fresh pillow cases, bathroom floor was dirty around edges, dust all around bedside tables and lights, bathroom door needs a good wipe down. Terrible workmanship from decorators with paint splashes everywhere and what looks like bleach marks on the carpet. Staff - on arrival the staff member at reception desk was welcoming and polite

Lovely hotel. Quiet. Had a great sleep. I booked the premier room & I'm glad I did. Although standard rooms are very comfortable, it was worth spending the extra £6 for the premier room, which had a fridge, coffee maker etc. My only criticism was that after breakfast, there were no staff visible around the reception/bar area. Breakfast was lovely, I opted for the continental breakfast, rather than the cooked breakfast. Great value. I'd definitely stay here again
