Birmingham City Centre (Waterloo Street) hotel

Unfortunately there was no warning of noise from nearby construction works and vents from nearby businesses under the room, that went on into the evening /night. This meant that not only was it disturbing for sleep but also could not open windows for air. The room was fine and clean and comfortable but location is not good if you need a good nights sleep and a shame the website doesn’t warn of the disturbances. We would still have booked premier inn, just in another location

We booked this hotel to go to The Prodigy gig. The hotel looks a bit scruffy from outside but it was in a great location and the room was fine. We had a 16 year old with us so when we got back to the hotel at 11pm we expected to be able to get a drink in the hotel bar. Unfortuantely we were told that the bar closes at 11pm even on a Saturday night. We've never had this at a city centre Premier Inn before and we've always been able to get a late drink in the bar. For this reason I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. The bar/restaurant area was actually really nice for a Premier Inn too.

I have stopped at the Premier Inn in Waterloo street,several times , but this time will be the last, we were early so went into the bar restaurant , ordered food and a beer , the bar staff were initially nice friendly, however the food arrived we had ordered pulled beef crumpet with rare bit n chips ( as the beef dripping mash was off only normal mash) the crumpets arrived cremated (at least the cow had good send off ) no rarebit, no chips my partner on way to toilet spotted the chips sitting under a lamp, so on way back she asked, and they brought them to the table, warm I'll give them that. We left our food at that point, as inedible. The staff were laughing at us with other customers as we left. Wouldn't say that was surprising, but staff wearing lgb lanyards and never had problem before but the table was 6 guys laughing with the staff. If you look back on premier inn reviews always good and will always book premier inn where possible but avoid butchers block restaurant at Waterloo Street.

Comfortable bed. Clean room. Bathroom made a strange plumbing noise. Air con was effective. Good breakfast. One lift out of order.

All The Staff at Premier Inn / Birmingham City Centre was Xcellent / Five Star Service... I Loved every moment of my stay... Jacob & Sharon the front desk receptionist was very Knowledgeable, Supportive and Informative... They answered all of my questions about the Hotel and the surrounding area. I would 100% Recommend this Establishment... Everthing was Clean / Functional and Fit for Purpose... I Look forwards to my Next Stay at Premier Inn...
