"Thank you Christine!"
Christine at reception was so helpful and went above and beyond helping me print some urgent work documents and get checked in. Thanks so much!
"Comfortable stay in ideal location"
Really friendly and helpful staff. Bed comfortable, air con efficient, cleaning of room and communal areas very good. Had evening meal and breakfast for special price of £28.99 for three courses in the evening and full English breakfast which is great value. Food was excellent for the price paid. The free wifi wasn’t great in our room but we were at the end of the corridor and we weren’t in the room much. Great base for shopping and meeting friends for food and drinks.
"Patience Is A Virtue"
When we arrived, there was nobody at the check-in desk and none of the self check-in terminals were working, so we had to wait for the poor lady who was being asked to multi-task between there and the bar. Our reward for having to wait for a few minutes and showing her politeness was that she decided to upgrade us to one of the Premier Plus Rooms at the top of the hotel. It was really nice and spacious, with exclusive toiletries and impressive air conditioning which allowed us to get a good night's sleep. The 12:00pm check-out was also a real bonus too. Very impressed.
"Awful"
Absolutely awful and Premier Inn couldn't care less hence review. Rude deputy manager at check in, other guests commented on his rudeness to me. Not enough room key cards Premier plus room was filthy, waited until 10.30pm for alternative room, key card did not work stuck on landing with luggage until 11pm after several teips to reception. When eventually sorted second room not much better Faulty shower pulsated between very hot and then cold not attended to despite daily remibders. Welcome statement mentions rigorous cleaning regime with enhanced hygiene promise... absolutely not the case!  The general decorative state and cleanliness of both rooms was absolutely shocking.  I have never ever had an issue with a Premier Inn room generally and certainly never with the cleanliness.  The fact that these are supposed to be superior rooms and averaged at £160 per night is even more shocking. Mention is made of complimentary water, nespresso machine with pods. Tea bags, treats and ultimate wi-fi and that if there's anything we need during our stay or any issues , speak to one of our team members who will be happy to help....except there are rarely team members available as it seems there is only ever one person alone manning reception, bar and waitressing while duty manager stays behind the scenes and walks past the queues of people waiting. We were very much looking forward to trying a deluxe room, having always been satisfied with Premier Inn standard rooms only to find the treats are one small chocolate per person, no biscuits which other deluxe rooms have, and one bottle of water for three nights stay.  When we went to get more coffee from reception (definitely not the improved refreshments mentioned) we were told there was none left...  hardly deluxe. We did not get what we paid for even basic standards eg clean, the room serviced and tea, coffee and supposed treats replenished and a properly working shower.
"Don't be put off by the entrance on the ramp"
Great night's sleep. Clean room. Clean bathroom room. Excellent location for a day in Birmingham. The entrance on the ramp leaves a bit to be desired...very welcoming breakfast team.
