Birmingham City Centre (New St Station) hotel

You know what you are getting with Premier Inn. This one was never too busy at breakfast, is modern enough and all round fine. Very conveniwnt for New Street station and the city centre. When going to/from the station you are better off using the undercover first floor of the station rather than the street level exit via the tram tracks. There is security on the door weekend evenings, which seems sensible in this area.

You know what you're getting with a Premier Inn, but this is one location that I tend to favour because of its close proximity to New St station and also to the venues that I'm usually travelling to Birmingham to visit (normally a music gig). The staff are very friendly and helpful - especially on this occasion when there was no electricity in our Premier Plus room when we checked in. This was all fixed immediately. The PP room also includes free bottled water in the fridge and chocolate alongside the tea/coffee making facilities. These are always welcome. It's also worth nothing that decaf tea is available at breakfast. I didn't spot it in the room on this visit, but they did have peppermint tea, which was very welcome. The only thing I'd mention this time around was that the bed was far too soft and each time my husband moved, I felt as though I was on a trampoline! That said, the mattresses are due to be upgraded, so we must have been on an older one. I've stayed here before and will stay again.

This is our 3rd stay in the Birmingham New Street hotel. We always enjoy it. It is in the middle of town, right next to the train station and so convenient! :) The hotel is always clean, the bed is lovely and comfortable, and the staff are amazing too. The security guard is ever so lovely and always makes an effort to say hello and press the lift for everyone. You have a gem there Premier Inn :) The room cleaners are also always lovely and polite. If I ever need spare towels, they are quick to bring them. It's always quiet. We always enjoy your stay and the view of town. I did have a wee issue with the air con this time, whereas I couldn't adjust the heat to cool air flow; it was set on the sunshine/heat setting. I asked reception to help with getting it onto CoolFlow for air to reduce the humidity, and reception sorted it from their end. It was heaven! In previous stays we've had showers in the family room; this time we had a bath in our family room! We were delighted. With Lush down the road, it was a luxury to be able to have a luxurious hot bath. This is our go-to hotel whenever we come to Birmingham, which is every year. Excellent central location next to train station. Friendly & helpful staff, especially Ewen on breakfast, who was also very hardworking. Very clean & comfortable room. Would recommend.

Great experience, very professional and friendly staff. Hotel overall well-maintained and very clean. The furniture is not outdated, and the beds are very comfy. Walking distance to the station and lots of shops and places to eat nearby. Great breakfast with Exceptional service.
