"Would recommend. Staff incredible."
Amazing! Great location- so close to city centre without the noise! Only 10 mins to New street or Moor Street. Incredible staff - they really went above and beyond when we had issues with beds, wifi, and of course cheese!
"Good city centre hotel"
City centre location so park in local multi stories, hard to find as tucked away. Friendly staff and rooms were modern. Cleaner needs glasses as hairs were left in sink from previous guest. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful albeit like everywhere else, overpriced.
"Dissatisfied, but, Jenny brilliant "
We stayed here on June 23rd for the guns n roses concert, I was truly amazed about how short staffed the bar and restaurant was considering that the hotel was apparently fully booked because of the concert. Only one member of staff to run the bar and restaurant! Table's were full of glasses and crockery for a long time, the poor woman working was dealing with the bar, making cocktails, taking food orders and running food. Our food was waiting on the pass for so long that the chef ended up bringing it to our table, by then it was very dry and not a pleasant meal! The member of staff in question was, I later found out was called Jenny, she deserves a raise! At one point, someone who I assume was a supervisor asked Jenny if she was on her own, obviously the reply was yes, at which point the response was "ok" then left her to it on her own!! Jenny was clearly very busy and stressed, but, did an amazing job considering the lack of support. There was later on another member of staff that started shift, but, we were ignored by her, leaving our table cluttered and not being able to order dessert or drinks, at this point Jenny was very busy on the bar. We were also disappointed at breakfast on the 24th owing to the what could be considered to be a racial slur/joke aimed at one of our party, she is Irish and was called "Paddy"! Unfortunately I don't know the name of the member of staff that said this only that he was male, glasses and hair in a small ponytail. This should be investigated!! The rooms were very good though, clean quiet. It would have been good if the bar was open in the evening for residents though.
"Not the best"
The mattress are not good quality (was always Hypnos) Lots of noise during the night from other guests Spike to reception at check out the lady was dismissive and not interested
"Poor housekeeping"
I stayed in a Premier-plus, like I always do. The house keeping was poor on this occasion. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy but the complimentary tea/coffee tray had no tea bags and there was no water bottle in the fridge. I informed the reception staff and next day when I asked for the room to be cleaned and refilled, It was left empty again.
