    "Served it's purpose."
Location was good, rest not great. Drove down from Alton Towers to stay 2 nights here to do a few things. Upon arrival there was nobody to be seen but could print out our room key with the machine as had checked in online. Found out room with ease on the ground floor which was well presented and felt pretty clean, the bathroom was generally clean but looks like it could do with a deep clean or just more time allowed each time it's done. Decided we'd just go to the on site restaurant for dinner as it had been a long hot day. Greeted by what turned out to be the shift manager and shown a table, you could hear and feel the stickiness of the floor as you walked across it, and the table surface was the same. Choice on the menu is pretty limited and even though advertised as child eats free with paying adult meal we still ended up paying for child's meal. Took happy hour offer of 2 for 1 cocktails and decided what to eat. Food took quite a while to turn up and the staff member apologized and offered free desert so youngest chose a sundae. The food was what it was, general bought in and heated up. Came to pay and because it had gone outside of the happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails were no longer available but we could pay for 1 and get the other free, according to the shift manager, when them also charged us for the "free" apology desert. Breakfast the next 2 days was good, nice choice of food for everyone though the tables and floor were still very sticky. The shower in the room is ok, would be better if pressure was greater (Alton Towers showers prove it's easily done). 1st night's sleep was ok considering there's no air con and it was extremely warm, floor standing fan was provided though. 2nd night was awful, it's like this isn't a purpose built hotel but a converted office block or just cheaply built as all we could hear for hours was the people upstairs walking around like elephants till God knows what time. Checkout was nice and easy and onsite parking was good for us as we arrived to find a space, ticket machine is near the reception door and you start typing your registration number in and it finds your car. Would we stay here again? No.
"Would definitely stay here again 😁"
Stayed here with my boys in a family room for 4 nights plus we had breakfast every morning, Hotel staff were lovely & helpful, Breakfast was amazing, Beds were very comfy & our family room was a perfect size, We left the car in the hotel car park for the 4 days as most things were walking distance, It made for an enjoyable holiday in Birmingham, Would definitely stay here again, Thank you.....
    "Great location, friendly staff"
We had a great stay over the summer holidays. The room was clean, and a family room located at the back of the hotel so really quiet. Staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the stay, I would definitely stay here again! The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the area too.
"Good for central location, otherwise average"
Very average service. On arrival told room number and nothing else. Parking although advertised as having a car park is nothing to do with the hotel and so 15 pound per night charge will be incurred. On street parking is free for blue badge, but not here. Staff failed to give any information about breakfast timings etc, and written detail in room is lacking. No air con and rooms get very warm with minimal ventilation
    "Average stay"
Reception desk was often left unattended and even though there's a button to press for staff, it still took quite a while for someone to attend. When we arrived at breakfast room, on three mornings there was no-one to take our room number for the register. Duvet cover had spots of blood on it! Noise from outside hotel late at night was terrible
