Birmingham City Centre Broad Street hotel

Fabulous location, much more parking than anticipated and exceptional customer service from Rohan and all of the team. Lovely to have additional tea/coffee and baked goods to take to your room, breakfast freshly cooked and plentiful - if visiting Sea Life or Utilita, this is the ideal location

Ideally situated in the city centre, about 3 minutes from the tram and 10 minutes walk from the ICC, Symphony Hall and other facilities. It's not actually on Broad Street but on the edge of a housing estate just off it. I was on the ground floor but it was quiet. Clean, comfortable room although the bed was a bit firm. Good shower in the bathroom. I didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food.

This is a standard Premier Inn hotel which is tucked away just off Broad Street and so is actually quiet despite being only moments from what is a busy and vibrant thoroughfare. I prefer to check-in in-person rather than online and that way one has interaction with a human being! Jack was on duty when we arrived and he dealt with everything effortless, with professionalism and courtesy, We did not eat at the hotel during our three-night stay so cannot comment on the restaurant. The standard room we had was as one would expect. The hotel is perhaps in need of some refurbishment but nothing we encountered was clearly beyond its best. I cannot give it five stars as the one day we requested a room clean/towel change (well before the 12 noon deadline), this was not acted on and so we had to request clean towels when we returned in the evening. The hotel is very well situated for the Brindleyplace area and events at Symphony Hall, both being just minutes away.

I stayed at Premier Inn Broad Street. The welcome was wonderful so I decided to eat at the restaurant that evening - BIG MISTAKE!: ended up with diarrhea all night. Seems that the chicken skewers weren't cooked properly! I also found plastic in my cheesecake during dessert! Unfortunately the room was 24.5 degrees all the time and the thermostat seemed broken as it wouldn't lower the temperature, which left me roasting for two nights. Tried opening the curtains and window but the curtain rod was off the rail and so everyone would have seen inside my room. The staff were wonderful though and nothing was too much trouble.

Central location with a nice clean room. Decently quiet but some floorboards a bit creaky. Lad of reception was a good laugh anytime we spoke to him, seemed very busy running about the place.
