Birmingham Central (Hagley Road) hotel

Pre-paid for the breakfast and when we arrived here there were 2 women working, very understaffed. Took nearly an hour for the breakfast to come out since we sat down at the table. Both our coffee and toast went cold by the time the food came out. When I asked the waitress how long it was gonna take she shrugged her shoulders and said ‘theres a queue of food here what do you want me to do’. Absolutely appalling

Not an experience I'd like to repeat. We were initially allocated a sub standard room ( cobweb dangling from ceiling, crumbs on the carpet, no coat hangers and pretty dowdy all round). - and it took reception quite a while to choose it for us. On complaining they suddenly found us another one - so we moved. Much better (apart from the bathroom waste bin hadn't been emptied) - and we were offered a freebie drink as compensation

Had accidentally booked the wrong dates. Emma was very helpful and kind. Rang round other premier inn sites to find us a room, which she managed, and gave us all the details we needed to get there. She sorted making the new booking internally to secure the room and cancelled my wrong booking. Efficient friendly service, A*

From the moment we checked in, every member of staff we came into contact with were professional, polite and helpful. On arrival after a long day travelling, we hadn't eaten so headed to the restaurant for some food. When we got there, the staff member (sorry, we didn't catch her name) advised that food starts at 5pm. We asked where we could go locally and she suggested some places, but also offered to open the kitchen early for us. We gratefully accepted & she helped us with ordering gluten free food for myself & from the standard menu for my Husband. The food arrived within good time, was hot and tasted great. The following day we had breakfast. Again asking for Gluten free, which was no issue at all. Both ladies in the restaurant were helpful with the allergen menu & getting coffee for us. The food was freshly cooked to order, once again tasting great. We did get the name of one of the restaurant staff who was great. Annicia & her colleague looked after us well. It was the best Premier Inn breakfast we have had. We have another stay booked here in October & look forward to returning. Thank you for having us.

Our 3rd visit to Hagley Road our Premier Inn of choice! Stayed for 4 nights. We were given one of the new rooms this time which was clean & well appointed. All staff members were friendly & polite & constantly checked on our requirements. Food was good, hot & plenty of choice! Tucked away from the main road ensured we had a peaceful night! We will be back!
