Balsall Common (Near Nec) hotel

My experience staying at the hotel has been spoiled by there parking checking in process They advertise as free parking Well it’s anything but free I am been harassed by there parking partner’s Horizon for months now What started with either a technical or human error Even though I was clearly staying for 4 night Iv received a fine for 2 of them Now horizon have been sent my booking details to prove that I was a paid guest Which u would think that would be the end of that Not a chance Horizon are set up in a way that it’s almost impossible to speak to someone regarding the fines And when you do speak to someone You get sent in process that just haves you going round in circles Now because my van was a hired vehicle And I had stay there for a number of weeks I have 3 fines of £100 3 admin charges from the van hire company So that’s £375 Free parking I don’t think so 🤬 I also stayed in the airport hotel £16 a night ( but at least I was aware of change) My time staying in the premier inn “You know what you get when you stay in a premier inn” Ripped off that’s what you get

Restaurant was really tired with torn upholstery held together with black masking tape. Poor staffing levels And really poor food quality and selection. Terrible value for money. Premier inn also really old and tired. One mug for tea between two and no glasses or water. Terrible experience although the staff were fantastic whilst working under awful conditions

While the staff were friendly and the hotel itself was clean and tidy, the entire venue felt like it was running on "snail time." Dinner at the Beefeater was an endurance sport, where a basic two-course meal took a full two hours to arrive. Unfortunately, morning brought more of the same, as waiting for breakfast tacked an extra 45 minutes onto our schedule, even though the food was okay once it arrived. For future guests, be prepared to haul your bags up the stairs as there is no lift to the second floor, and pack layers because the bedroom heater has a mind of its own and refuses to do what it's told. It is a lovely place with great people, but the service and amenities desperately need a bit of a tune-up.

The warm welcome, comfort and cleanliness of this hotel is exceptional. All of the staff went above and beyond, especially to assist my elderly mother who was staying to attend a funeral nearby. They were wonderful with her. I have never stayed in a Premier Inn previously and can’t believe how great our stay was and will have no hesitation in staying again. The hotel is quiet, it’s easy to park and the rooms are comfortable with more than ample tea, coffee, towels etc. The bed was very comfortable, and the linen felt fresh and possibly new. Breakfast was excellent, with a continental style buffet and all hot food cooked to order.
