"Double payment of my stay - no one to help get the refund"
I stayed at Premier Inn Warwick for a seminar with my company. There was no receptionist and I had to use the Machine to check in. Not a problem in itself, but it turns out there was a problem with my Amex and the payment did not go through ( at least this is was the machine told me) and I paid with my personal credit card. Bad surprise when I discovered that indeed I was debited twice , once on Amex and once on Visa. Since then I have been trying to reach out to anyone to help get a refund for the double payment but I only get virtual machines on the phone, no response at all by email. How can I expect to get this issue resolved in these circumstances.

"excellent"
The customer service was excellent , specially the girls rhina emma and alice. Very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect , no complaints. The dinner and breakfast food was very nice

"Lovely & Clean room"
Having never stayed in a premier Inn before, my husband & I are impressed with the room, Rhina & Emma served us evening meals & we enjoyed the buffet breakfast too. Our friends stayed in a wheelchair accessible room. We attended a show at the NEC so this hotel was handy & about 20 miles away. As advertised on TV, the beds are comfortable too

"Good Accommodation, Poor Service Due To Understaffing"

The welcome was very good and the amenities were good also.
Location: On an industrial estate away from the centre but we had a car so that wasn't a problem. Parking was free.
Atmosphere: Lovely and friendly.
Room: Premium room. Warm, clean, good facilities. Included mini fridge, nespresso coffee machine with four pods, two complimentary bottled water and premium wifi.
Restaurant: Busy on Saturday evening. It was recommended that we seek a reservation which we did. Seated at our table and we ordered just the main courses and later a pudding. From ordering to food arrival was 50 minutes. At no time were we updated about the length of time taken to serve the meal and only a quiet apology when it did arrive. The food was excellent. Some diners around us ate three courses, paid their bill and left before ours arrived. We didn't complain, we were engrossed in conversation, but at the 40 minute wait point I was beginning to feel pangs of hunger and began to look around for the waiting staff for some explanation. They were all extremely busy and I was unable to politely make enquiries. Short of making a scene and ruining the evening and the mood I waited patiently to catch an eye. Alas, no eye was cast my way.
Paid the bill, didn't leave a gratuity. There were three young ladies serving in the restaurant, Rhina, Georgina and Emma. I write their names here because they were written on the feedback card handed to us after payment with a request to give 'positive feedback despite our wait for food'. Paraphrasing.
The servers appeared to be overwhelmed by the volume of customers and didn't seem to be able to cope with the capacity of such. One more server would have gone a long way to help the burden.
Room cleaning and service: We stayed four nights and only emerged from our room at midday. Not once was the room visited, cleaned, bins emptied or coffee pods replenished. Three times we asked for service.
First was placing the sign on the door to say we were out, although we didn't inform Reception we required this. No visit.
Second was in the evening and if we could have a replenishment of coffee pods and toilet rolls. Assured they would be delivered. They were not.
Third we asked at midday at Reception if the room could be cleaned and replenished, especially toilet rolls. We were too late for the cleaning but the requested replenishments would be delivered whilst we were out. They were not. We had to scavenge for toilet paper.
Overall: We enjoyed our stay. I suspect only because we are compassionate and easy going people. If we had not been, it would have been a major irritation and mood spoiler.
Employ more staff so they have time to care for the customer.
