"Truly dreadful..find somewhere else."
They talk a good game but that's all it is..talk. Don't waste your time booking early check-in, it doesn't exist, £15 to be in my room by 11, room actually ready at 2.50....ten minutes before normal check-in. They did in fact do the decent thing and reimburse me. Waste of my first day there. Will you be eating with us tonight, just to let you know there's no burgers, pizzas, steaks or anything else from the grill but we have all the classics left. So that leaves you with lasagne, fish & chips or a salad. When the guy at reception recommends a pub down by the canal instead, it says it all. Pub was lovely. On my way out someone had been standing outside the restaurant for twenty minutes to be noticed and he'd paid for that privilege! Parking was £5 a day if you were lucky enough to find a space, fortunately I'd seen previous reviews and got a train. How did we do? Very, very poor. Look forward to seeing me again? Not bloody likely.
"Lovely hotel and room, dreadful restaurant"
Hotel conveniently located. Premier plus room was very good although the WiFi codes didn't work for the full 3 days we were there. I was encouraged to book the meal deal, which I did prior to arrival. On arrival I was advised there was a reduced menu. It was not reduced it was decimated. 4 starters and 4 main courses. A bowl of soup took over an hour to arrive. There were only 2 waiters serving a very busy restaurant. There was clearly a cook in the kitchen not a chef. We were advised the menu would remain the same for our 3 day visit. We asked, and received a refund for the 2 evening meals. We were advised we would be refunded for all the meal deal by way if an apology, this was over ruled. It got worse, the restaurant was actually shut Sunday evening with people ordering pizza for delivery. I completed the online complaint form and got a lip service standard reply. Very disappointing stay which resulted in us spending loads more money on eating out.

good location. short staffed room & bathroom not very clean. air con was on all time and cold, manage had to put his jacket on while sitting @ table working
"Lack of staff - restaurant closed"
Very disappointed with the lack of facilities. I checked in online expecting to scan a QR code on arrival but this wasn’t working so we had to queue. We were advised the restaurant wasn’t open due to lack of staff. This was most disappointing after travelling so far. In the room, it was as though it had been set up for a single person: not enough towels, not enough tea and coffee. Not the service we’ve come to expect from Premier Inn.
"Comfortable bed. Poor food and service"
Bed was comfortable as always with Premier Inn. Bathroom could do with a refresh and shower curtain needed replacing. Dinner menu was reduced to a sheet of A4 and the quality was poor. Had to wait for an hour for the food to be served as well.
