Sunderland City Centre hotel

☹️. I stayed at this hotel with my wife for one night. We used the car park adjacent to the hotel,and went to check-in. When asked if we had parked in the car park by the receptionist, we said yes, and he directed us to the car parking machine. We duly paid our £17. It was when we were going visiting at the hospital in the evening, we checked on the car parking, and the receptionist told us that if there were no spaces left when we came back from the hospital we would have to park on the street, or in another car park at extra expense. Lo and behold we arrived back from visiting and there were no spaces. Be AWARE the £17 does NOT guarantee you a parking space if you need to nip out in your car. The thing is you pay Premier Inn, not a private parking company, but all Premier say is the car park is run by a private company. Also be aware the on the Saturday night there is a LOT of night club NOISE running until 2 am, so don’t expect a good nights sleep if you are facing the front of the hotel. Ahhh, the great nights sleep guarantee does not cover external noise. Maybe better glazing, and sound proofing might help. 😀. On a plus note, most of the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast is good.

I have been to this hotel a lot of times because it is always clean ,comfy and the staff are really welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them and if you get Karen on shift , your stay will be even better! This is , and always will be , my go to hotel in Sunderland. The breakfasts are well presented , really tasty and any allergies are taken into account, should it be necessary. I cannot praise them enough.

I have stayed at this Premier Inn at least 2 times each month for last 5 years. The service is fantastic. The team including Karen, Stacey and Ryan go above and beyond. There is always a warm welcome and friendly chat in the restaurant. I observe this with all guests and can see how hard they all work to ensure things run smoothly. Place is always clean although some of the rooms are starting to look a bit tired. Staying here makes working away from home that bit easier. Keep up the great work 🤩

Very clean room and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and probably one of best breakfasts I’ve had at any premier inn

all the staff tend to be really friendly, especially stacey. she is the loveliest lady ever! She welcomed us in with a big smile and was so friendly and helpful, we were celebrating a 16th and 18th birthday and she was so kind!!! she wished us a happy birthday and chatted to us. She’s a ray of sunshine!
