Sunderland A19/A1231 hotel

We stayed here for the Radio 1 big weekend. The hotel was booked to full capacity but you wouldn’t have known it because the service was just amazing. A special shot out to Rachel and Jack - they were incredible and went above and beyond. Could not recommend enough.

if you are unfortunate to get a room near the pub or facing the carpark dont expect to get any sleep - the kitchen extractor fan is running 24 hours a day and making a horrible squeeling sound - TURN IT OFF

The outside appearance leaves you thinking it's an abandoned building, it was only that the car park was full that made us know we had arrived. The staff on reception where welcoming and clear with their instructions of where everything was etc. The room , basic and in need of refurbishment. It was Clean and hardly any noise level other than a few creaky floor boards. The bed was great although the pillows were thinner than a fashion model. the shower was poor almost no pressure, to be fair the drool from my mouth was both faster than the shower and the taps. The tv was dated although flat it was 720p and the picture was awful almost a smeared jam effect. Situated out of town, so a taxi ride for £10 would see you right. Overall if id paid a budget price for this I would have given it a more appropriate score but we paid what I thought was 5 star money and ended up with 3 star mediocrity.

Have used the Premier Inn off A19 in Sunderland for over a year on/off for a project i am workjnv on on Sunderland. The rooms are always clean and really comfortable. There is always plenty of patking which is free. Staff are really friendly and helpful, especially Rachael who always makes sure everything is ok with my stay.

We have stayed at this premiere inn before. It's clean, tidy, well presented, fairly priced and the staff are great. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms heating is easy to use, the facilities are always good and you can always pick up extra tea, coffee etc from reception.
