"A new low in cleanliness and appearances"
In 30+ years of work travel this was the grimmest dirtiest and most unloved hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Apparently some of the rooms haven’t seen a paintbrush or renovation in over a decade. The walls in the corridors are unwelcoming and tatty, the bedroom walls had ingrained dirt which has built up over the years, the curtains had a number of dubious stains and some of the lights and fixtures had worked loose. Stay here at your peril.
"Not What You Expect From a Premier Inn"
I always say you know what you are getting in a Premier Inn and I have stayed in quite a few over the years hence I booked this one for one night while in Newcastle on business and it certainly didn’t deliver… The hotel is dated and this is evident from the minute you walk into the reception area which is in need of refurbishment as not a great first impression. I was given room 209, not a bad size however, that was the only positive! The room was dated and felt a bit dirty if I am honest, the windows were full of in ground dirt and haven’t been cleaned for a long time, the view from the window wasn’t that much better overlooking the bins from the bar across the street and directly at the stone pillars of the Tyne bridge. The bathroom had the feel of a 1980’s NHS hospital although it was the cleanest part of my room. The food at breakfast was not great, sausages and bacon were cremated and very dry. I am not one for marking hotels down and I always try and be positive in my reviews but sadly I can’t really think of anything here apart from I was glad I only stayed one night.
    "Dissaointing at best"
This was not the stay I expected having had good experiences in other premier inns . But this was pretty awfull. The lift was out of service for the entirety of our stay. The rooms air con was not functioning, and the windows do not open wide enough for any ventilation. So the overnight room temp was over 30 . The single bed was exceptionally uncomfortable and the bathroom was still scattered with glitter from the previous guests . There were other issues throughout , including no cold water to the shower /bath . And the reception area has the feel of a late 90's youth hostel . I would not book this hotel again .
    "I’ve had a great time"
Jack was a stellar bloke, honestly made the stay so easy. Great customer service and attitude towards work. Was fast to serve and make sure everyone was happy, coudlnt fault his service tonight.
    "City visit"
The hotel is in a great place, with limited parking. However the hotel itself is very dated and needs a revamp. The staff were great.
