"Amazing Gosforth/Cramlington Hotel"
The hotel is situated in an amazing position right next to a Wetherspoons, an Asda petrol station and a McDonald's, covering all needs.
The carp was large, as it included both the hotel and Witherspoons.
Hotel itself was easily accessible and clean.
Our family room was spacious and pleasant.
Staff were helpful, professional and welcoming.
Shout out to the receptionist, Maureen and hosts Kathleen and Margaret.

"Well informed and considerate staff."
Good stay. I was particularly impressed with the ladies in the breakfast room. I have a gluten intolerance and they went above and beyond with separate cutlery, cereal and toast etc. But more than that it was the way the server listened carefully and made sure. My intolerance is not extreme but it was a relief to deal with well trained, informed and considerate staff. So often in hotels it is quite time consuming and awkward when you are trying to ensure you arenât exposed to something which may make you ill. For this reason we will stay here again when we are visiting family in the North East. Thank you.

"Issue with noise and leaking roof"
We checked in on 02/05/2026 for 1 night. Staff very friendly and check in was very quick. First impression was lovely clean room and bathroom, in a double room overlooking a lawn to the side of the hotel. After checking in we left to catch up with family in Newcastle for the afternoon/ early evening. We got back to the room around 9 p m and as it was so stuffy and no Aircon we opened the window (after checking that the heating was at 16 degrees, which was lowest setting). It was then we noticed a quite loud industrial humming noise like a large extractor fan, (we think it may have been coming from the McDonald's across the way), it was really intrusive so we closed the window. We were woken up in early hours by guests slamming doors and as the room was really hot again we had to reopen the window. Didn't get much sleep due to the sound of the fan outside and more slamming of doors. After a really bad night's sleep we opened the curtains in the morning and it was obvious that there is a leaky overhanging gable and faulty guttering as water had pooled on the window sill. Around the window and in the corner of the room there were signs of a longstanding water ingress issue. As there was no one on reception to report the issue to on checkout, we're going to email premier inn to make them aware. I don't understand how this hotel has so many good reviews as it's the worst nights sleep we've had in a hotel in a long time. Such a shame as the first impression was so good. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food.
