Newcastle Airport hotel

Overall ok, Room was fine for the £50 we paid, We wouldnt want to pay more though, Beds really comfy, shower a bit dribbly, Next to the runway if you like that sort of thing, I loved it, Staff were generally pleasant, Food AWFUL so avoid eating there, try to plan something else if you can, We didnt have my car and we were catching an early flight so we needed a bite before bed however we Won't again though. It was below the standards of wetherspoons and I dont mind a wetherspoons.

We stayed here the evening of 30th march. It was the worst night sleep we have ever had. There were children running around the corridors all night, doors slamming and no one patrolling the corridors to control the noise. The check in was rushed and the lady was rude. When we left I tried to speak to the receptionist but she was completely disinterested in anything I had to say, was more interested in smoking a cigarette outside the front of the hotel. She said they were busy with check ins and check outs and they are a busy airport hotel. I tried to explain that they should be patrolling the corridors (as I know this from working for this company for many years!) She was not interested and walked away.

My daughter, my friend and I stayed 1 night at the end of March as we were flying early from Newcastle. We had a family room which I was a bit worried about, but my friend slept on one single & said it was very comfy, my daughter was happy on the other. The rooms were cosy with extra beds but we had enough room to move about and it was a nice quiet sleep. We arrived in the evening, parked in airport short stay & walked across. It is a bit hard to find from the airport but if you ring reception they tell you where the gate is in the other hotel car park. It's so close that I would use it everytime for a morning flight. We had dinner, price was reasonable, & I was impressed that they still had the kids menu at 9pm. I wanted something light so had soup & minor moan was it didn't come with a roll.

The location is excellent and it's a 5 minutes walk to the airport and the metro. The room was clean and I had a goodnight sleep, the water pressure of the shower was low. I had an evening meal and breakfast and both were very good the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely use this hotel again .

Went for breakfast with the family food was excellent and the staff Libby and Louise were outstanding.
