"Avoid - dated, dirty, total waste of money"
Arrived at 9pm, checked in was told bluntly that our room was to the left passed the restaurant. The room wasn't just to the left passed the restaurant it was an entrance at the other side of the building above the pub. The hallway and 3 flights of stairs were tired , dirty and in disrepair. The room was much the same very dated, in disrepair and dirty - there was thick dust on the lamps and headboard and window frames, as well as the bathroom having thick dirt under the taps and under the sink. Every time you flush the loo or run a tap it gurgles up through the bath. The basin taps physically turn when you move the lever. Frankly it was disgusting I wouldn't let me dog sleep in that room. It would get less than 1 star. They say you know what you get with a premier inn, well if that's what you get ill go elsewhere from now on. A told waste of money I'd rather sleep in my car .

"Horrific Breakfast"
Met with an unfriendly receptionist and noticibly grubby carpets and decor was a taste of things to come . Room was clean and bed comfy. Breakfast was horrific unless cold beans, hard sausages , overdone bacon, cold beans are your thing and the hash browns we suspected were resurrected from the previous day. Barely hot water for coffee served from
big flasks . Simply the worst breakfast I’ve had at a Premier Inn.

"Very convenient"
We chose this inn for its location near the Newcastle Metro stop, and it proved very efficient and convenient - in the city within half an hour. It's also good for the airport, both via the Metro stop and driving. You do hear planes taking off, but it's not a problem.
The inn itself is a typical Premier Inn so you know what to expect and we weren't disappointed. There's plenty of parking, but some of it is registration controlled, so you need to be careful where you park and register your details if required. We paid for breakfast, which was taken next door at the pub and was fine. We only ate 1 evening at the same pub and had a carvery, which was OK. Our room looked out over the football pitches at the back so we had nightly practice sessions, but it wasn't a problem.

"In need of an upgrade"
Thankfully only stayed one night here and only due to its close proximity to the airport. The room is basic, in need of an upgrade and more like a Travelodge than a Premier Inn,
The room was clean and the bed was comfy. However, there was a strong smell of bleach that emanated from the bathroom to the main bedroom. Not the usual scent you'd expect. The mirror was eroding from the edges inwards and the non-refillable soap dispensers, which are clearly reused were dirty and needing replaced. No chance was showing there.

"Excellent stay as always here. I'll be back."
As the company says, 'You know what you're getting with Premier Inn'. I have used this hotel on a number of occasions over the years, including three times this year. Exactly what I expected each time. Efficient and helpful reception. Rooms including bathroom all clean and tidy. Firm beds with fresh bedding. The additional plus is windows that open. Plenty of parking, close to the airport if driving and the metro station of Callerton Parkway (only 20 mins journey from town). Perfect if you want to break a long distance journey across the UK, in our case Scotland back to London.
The Wheatsheaf Pub next door serves your breakfast. Lunch and dinner also available. We love the carvery. Staff are always helpful and friendly here.
Overall a perfect reminder of what a Premier Inn should be.
