Guildford North (A3) hotel

The hotel is located on the A3 with easy access to the main roads and Guildford Town centre. It is directly opposite Guildford Lido and next to the leisure centre with ice rink, so lots to do nearby. Although it is right on the main road, there are tall hedges outside that soak up most of the road noise. The room was comfy but felt a little bit in need of some TLC and a deep clean of the carpet. The windows do open, which was nice compared to most Premier Inns I have stayed at where they are sealed shut. Breakfast was fantastic, although only one member of staff working. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you had wanted anything cooked to order, you may have struggled to find someone to ask! Food was tasty, and plenty of it.

Overslept by checkout time sub 1 hour. Was in room waiting for a taxi, cleaning lady refused to let me wait and tried to force me out the room. When I tried to stay and wait she wouldn't stop telling me to leave, implied that people needed the room. (2 hours before check in time) Yes rooms are assigned to bookings but those rooms can also be reassigned for cases such as guests staying an extra night at late notice so in situations like this rooms can clearly be reassigned. This is irrelevant though, because if premier inns cannot offer the early check in they simply do not give it to people. They are fully prepared for the type of situation that I caused. She proceeded to make meme extremely uncomfortable when she started storming round the room cleaning with aggressive body language while I was in it waiting for my taxi. She clearly could of gone and cleaned another room and came back to the room after my taxi had arrived and I had left. (about 10 minutes after this whole ordeal) I understand that I was in the room after check out time but hotels should be prepared for people oversleeping, this is what the 3 hour gap between check in and check out is for. I was not deliberately lingering in the room. Was in a different premier inn the day before where I also overslept by an hour as my work hours are unorthodox, got up, ordered a taxi, waited for it and left. Did not have to deal with anything like this. My point here is I was clearly told lies to try and get me out of my room while I was waiting for a taxi and when I refused to accept those lies the cleaning lady threw a temper tantrum.

I was in room 408 in the additional accomodation building. Constant traffic noise from the main road, no sound proofing, a very poor night's sleep and would not recommend if you are in this building with a room facing the road.

The room was amazing very high standards. Clean, comfortable, cosy. Warm. Very good value, for money I would highly recommend the premier inn parkway guildford.

We had no air con with four people in one room. And the day was extremely hot. It become extremely uncomfortable and due to the heat I wasn't able to sleep at all. There was no one on the desk when i went to ask for help. The cooked breakfast wasn't great, it all felt below standard. It would be good if it was more consistent. Bang average.
