Epsom South hotel

This hotel is very very tired. Not maintained, dirty and staff happy to stand around doing nothing. There's no lift , no Aircon on the rooms. My toilet had excrement in it and the bed was very uncomfortable. P.s don't pay for the breakfast. It really is awful

Stayed in this dated (from the outside) hotel for a few nights with my parents because it was free parking, and it was absolutely terrible. The hotel has no air con so the rooms have a desk fan for the scorching hot summer months. The fan only makes any difference when you're sat at the desk, and it's loud - so good luck trying to get any sleep! I struggled to get any sleep. We had two rooms, and the housekeeping staff may have cleaned my bathroom before I checked in, but they had not restocked the toilet tissue dispenser (I had to go to reception for more) and they'd also left me (a male guest) a present in the bathroom in the shape of the previous female guest's bra and top-like thing, which were clearly visible from the doorway. What came next really put my parents and I off going back to this hotel. We paid using the standard rate. After we checked out and returned home, my dad's card was charged again for a stay of over £300 at the same hotel! He had to phone Guest Services up to get a refund, and they said it was a system error. Fair enough: dated hotel and possibly an outdated system to go with it. As if we thought the matter had been put to bed, he was later charged again by the same hotel (what must be about a few weeks later). This time it was between £60 - £70. He phoned Guest Services up again to get another refund - and they couldn't find anything regarding this (unlike the last one), despite the transaction showing as pending on his card provider's app. Clearly fraud, his provider has blocked his card from being used for any future Premier Inn transactions. Yet we'd booked at a different hotel on the standard rate before and had no issues. If you're thinking of staying here, do so at your own risk!

Great hotel, brilliant service, excellent value for money

Main meal on evening was like café food. I had 3 prawns on my starter and the tortillas had been dumped on the plate with a dollop of sour cream at breakfast there were flies present on the hot food. I informed a member of staff who took no action felt pressurised to book in for dinner as we got the impressions that staff wanted an early finish on a Saturday night the shower was poor

Hotel was great location. The room was recently renovated and the parking was easy. The highlight of the stay was the restaurant. The service for the food and food were awesome. Staff were fantastic. Even the chef came out to say hello to our little boy.
