"Top stuff"
Brilliant service, lovely staff. Couldn’t hope for anymore from them.
Rooms clean, fan already in the room with Hot weather outside

"Fine to sleep there but don't bother eating"
The room was fine, with the usual high standard of mattress comfort, pillows and bedding. Towels were new and as good as in some more expensive hotels. Excellent lighting and power point availability. Cleaning of room could have been a bit better but nothing awful. Bathroom very small but new, with walk in shower, which was powerful. WiFi was good. We were pleased to find a fan provided in the bedroom which was already running when we arrived on a hot day.
We had decided to have dinner in the restaurant and booked. When we arrived at the appointed time there were no staff in evidence. After waiting a few minutes we asked another guest said we needed to ring the bell in Reception and someone would appear. They did. However it would appear there were only three employees to handle staffing the bar, serving food and also dealing with hotel reception. Starters took 40 minutes to arrive, one was missing and had to be reordered. By the time that arrived and had been eaten, the main courses had spoiled.
Why Whitbread have chosen to close the onsite pubs which they own to the public, I don't know, but they now look run down, are mostly empty and uninviting.

"Avoid, one of the worst purple palaces I’ve stayed in."
This was booked at last minute so I expected to have to pay a bit of a premium but £98 for a room that had quite bad mould in the bathroom I think is not good value. The whole building is tired, there’s no air conditioning and I expect better from Premier Inn.
But the reason I am writing this review is after booking the meal deal so I was in under company budget, I was informed the restaurant was closed in the evening because they were short staffed. They blamed it on it being during the summer holidays…
I asked for a refund, which 2 separate staff members said would be sorted. It meant I had to get in my car after a long day and go somewhere else for dinner.
Realised over a week later I still hadn’t received the refund, so chased the hotel. Then I received an email saying they couldn’t do it and to call a number. The girl I spoke to was mumbling and would not refund me the whole amount because I’d had breakfast which I find really disappointing. It means I will be out of pocket when I come to claiming my expenses. The hassle I’ve had to go through because they failed to do staff rotas properly I think is worth a full refund.
Will avoid this one like the plague in future.
