Epsom Central hotel

Great location, easy walking distance to Epsom town center. Rooms are modern and well equipped. Free parking and wifi. Quiet location, comfy bed and excellent full blackout curtains made for a sound sleep. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay again during my next visit to Epsom/Ashtead.

Skanky room. Only on packing to leave did we notice that the bedsheets had a previous customers plaster stuck to the bottom (who knows if the sheets had been washed or not.). Prior to this, the handle on the bath was loose and falling off, the overflow was dirty and rusted. There was mould growing under the sink soap dispenser. Room was incredibly hot with no aircon and a fan that was useless and unsafe (the guard in front of the blades was coming off.) Would have mentioned these to the receptionist on leaving had there been one behind the desk - instead she was sat vaping on a bench outside whilst flirting with a male staff member from the restaurant next door. Finding that standards at premier inn are slipping quickly now. This room had clearly had a recent budget facelift as there was cheap tile vinyl wallpaper stuck over the bathroom to try and freshen it up, but failing.

We visited for two nights as a family over the weekend. We have stayed at this hotel before and returned as it is perfectly situated to get into central London from Epsom train station which is only a ten minute walk from the hotel, and offers free onsite parking - a real bonus. On arrival we were greeted by Dan who was so friendly and helpful. We loved the fun question of the day at the reception desk which changed daily with a vote using a tally chart - great discussion point. All of the staff we met at Epsom Central were friendly and professional, Olivia and Alyssa served in the bar and again took time to show interest in us as guests. At checkout Dan asked if our stay was comfortable and wished us a safe journey home. We really appreciated that personal touch, especially when we could see how hard the team were working in multiple areas of the hotel. We can’t wait to have the opportunity to visit again as our stay was very comfortable (rooms provide everything you expect from Premier Inn - clean room, comfortable bed and a good shower). Great team, working really hard to provide a friendly and professional service for guests. Many thanks to the whole team.

I have stayed here many times when I visit my family in Epsom. I like the free parking and the short walk into town. The Haywain restaurant attached has been run down for years and nobody cares. Either repair it, knock it down or sell it, but don’t leave it as such an eyesore. Toilet seat in my room was hanging off (see photo) I pointed it out to 3 staff in reception and got ‘sorry about that you might have to change rooms. That was day one. After day three I gave up. Just two sheets on the bed, yet when I moved from here to another Premier Inn there were lovely light duvets, so I don’t know why Epsom could not be the same? Food stains on carpet and rust around bathroom fittings. Very weak fan and no air con. This was my worst stay ever and I use Premier Inns all the time. Although the beds are comfy the pillows are thick and puffy, so I always advise to take your own. Apart from that kindly stay somewhere else until they spend some decent money on this venue.

Fantastic service from staff very friendly and helpful, special mention to Dan went above and beyond his duty! Defo recommend and we will be going back. In the attached pub Olivia and Alyssa were very friendly and welcoming was a pleasue to meet them all.
