I checked in and Olivia was really helpful and kept me informed, helping with anything I needed and went beyond expectations, she was also helping her colleague in the Haywain- the hotels restaurant, running food, taking orders, and making drinks, what a star and great member of the team and person

"Friendly and helpful"
The staff were friendly and helpful and offered choices in room location and drinks. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Portable heaters were available. Ample parking but could do with a charger for electric vehicles. Disabled parking available. The food was excellent. The evening meal was well presented and cooked to perfection. There was a wide choice of food for breakfast and the hot food was well presented and cooked. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.

"Not our finest experience ...."
The reception staff were very welcoming and we appreciated the free parking and free wi-fi provided. The room and bathroom were a decent size and the beds were comfortable.
We were disappointed in the cleanliness and servicing of the room. It also smelled very musty which was probably due to a very ineffective extractor fan in the bathroom. When we arrived, we had to ask for shower gel as the bottle was missing and the toilet paper dispenser had very little paper in it - certainly not enough for two people for 2 days!! There were also some hairs in the bath - yuck! The room was very dusty and had clearly not been cleaned properly in a while.

"Needs a deep clean"
Check is was good,swift efficient and helpful. Rooms cleanliness left a lot to be desired: cobwebs, stains on sheets and black mould in bathroom- shower, toilet & bath. Went Easter weekend and staff had called in sick so no staff to man the breakfast or hotel needs the morning.

"Tom at reception - fantastic!"
From the moment I arrived, Tom at the check-in desk completely set the tone for an outstanding stay. His warm, genuine friendliness made me feel instantly welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for him. He went above and beyond in every sense—taking the time to make sure everything was perfect, offering helpful local information, and ensuring I had everything I needed (and more!) for a comfortable stay!
