"Good hotel, poor breakfast"
Good location, welcoming staff, clean room, bed up to PI's usual standard. Desk fan (which we needed due to it being hot weather) was filthy, probably not been cleaned since new). The hotel could do with a refurb, but is mostly kept clean.
Evening meal next door was excellent.
However the breakfast was unexpectedly poor (broken eggs, water on plate, mushrooms soggy slices not closed-cup, dry bacon).

Used thus hotel for an overnight stay, prior to an early morning flight from Gatwick.
Location and price suited are needs. The Star Inn next door also provided a good evening meal. (See separate review).
We asked and were allocated a room on the ground floor. Normal Premier Inn standard's. Only problem old fashioned bath with fixed shower head. Not very good for a good shower on the morning. Bed was comfy and staff friendly. Would recommend this hotel if flying from Gatwick. Also ideal for us as we dropped our car off at the nearby APH car park.

Travel in style on the Bluebell Railway. Picnic on the lawn at Standen estate, or take a trip through time at Hever Castle. Watch your favourite horse come in at Lingfield Park racecourse. Then get on the home straight back to a delicious meal in the restaurant beside us and unwind in your lovely comfy bed.
