Such a great hotel. Really made us feel welcome. They gave us adjoining rooms so we could all be together. Nothing was too much trouble and the hotel itself is very charming.

"Needs a good clean and receptionist needs more training"
Location to where we were going was good. Beds were quite comfy. Was very quiet. The cleanliness was something to be desired, there was cobwebs on the ceiling and under shelves in the room. There was dead spider on ceiling. The bathroom needed maintenance as was broken tiles and unfinished plastering. In the corridor the dado rail and skirting board was filthy. The woman at reception was very unfriendly and seemed to be unsure who had rooms booked. Didn't eat in restaurant.

"Great location and an onsite real ale pub."
Great location, easy to find and only ten minutes away from my son's. The onside real ale pub was well stocked and had a great atmosphere.
All thr staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was well stocked apart from no plain yoghurt but the fry up was excellent.
I would certainly stay here again and on Sunday mornings they have classic car meet ups in front of the hotel.
