"Not bad"
One of the noisiest hotels we have ever stayed in
Doors clanging most of the night every time the fire doors opened it caused all room door to clang.
Room was nice and clean although hardly any toilet roll in the bathroom when we checked in so had to go to reception to ask for some.
Only one of each towel and there was two of us so again had to ask for more towels too.
Have to say the only good thing was the staff, who where very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing with our stay in Premier Inn

"Disappointing stay despite a beautiful location"
We chose Ipswich South Premier Inn because of its lovely setting, but unfortunately our stay was let down by several issues.
On arrival, our room was extremely hot at 29°C, making it very uncomfortable. A fan was provided, but it did little to alleviate the heat. The room was also affected by noise throughout our stay, with people frequently gathering outside our room to smoke and the constant banging and slamming of the “InPost” lockers located directly below our window.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast experience at the Beefeater. The host was unwelcoming and came across as curt and snappy towards guests, which made for an unpleasant start to the day. A sign on arrival stated that only Premier Inn guests would be served due to staff shortages, but the service we received still fell well below expectations.
The location itself is beautiful, and it’s a shame that the experience didn’t match the surroundings. Unfortunately, the room comfort, noise issues and poor service significantly affected our stay.

"Great place to stay"
Great hotel. Stayed for 1 night, no problems with the room. Had a fan in the room which was great. Breakfast was lovely.

"July 2026 - 2 nights"
Overall, our stay at Premier Inn Ipswich South was... okay.
The room itself was clean and perfectly acceptable, but the biggest issue was the heat. There was no air conditioning, and despite having the window open and the fan on, it was still incredibly warm, making it difficult to get comfortable.
The gentleman on reception when we arrived was excellent – friendly, welcoming and a great first impression for the hotel.
We managed to get some sleep on the first night, although there was quite a bit of noise from the room above us. It wasn't terrible, but combined with the heat, it meant we only got a minimal amount of sleep.
The following morning there was a power cut, which was a bit of a surprise. At first I thought it was just our room, but it turned out the entire hotel had lost power. Thankfully we hadn't booked breakfast, although staff explained it had affected the breakfast service for those who had.
The second night was much the same. The room was fine, but again the heat was the main issue. I also had the slightly awkward experience of having to ask a member of staff for a plunger... I'll leave the reason to your imagination! Fair play to him though – he handled it professionally and was a really sound bloke.
Overall, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but the lack of air conditioning made the visit far less comfortable than it should have been.
Would I stay here again? Probably not.
