Bury St Edmunds Town Centre hotel

First visit to this hotel. Plenty of free parking, nice location, excellent room spotlessly clean and so quiet. Slept really well.

Our go to hotel when visiting family in the area. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff and value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent location near the town centre. Clean room. Very few staff at hotel one person serving food, clearing plates,serving drinks at the bar and attending reception. £146 per night is expensive parking is an extra £6 per night. Very poor service due to shortage of staff. Inflated price even though the hotel was very quiet. Premier Inn was my go to for a reliable clean and comfortable well priced option for a short stay but not any more.

My grandson and I have visited several times but this was the first time we visited with his little sister, too. (ages now 6&3) As ever, the hotel and staff were welcoming and parking is plentiful and free. We like going in the back entrance and walking over the little bridge. Hotel is very clean and comfortable and has aircon. The room was large and the children loved having their own very snuggly beds. The bathroom was great and we all wished we’d had time to use the snazzy shower. We arranged early check in which is well worth it. We also had the upgraded WiFi which was fine for two children’s tablets and my phone. Plenty of Minecraft and Peppa Pig was watched! The hotel is very quiet and peaceful. It is very well placed for a wander into lovely BStE (particularly Abbeygate cinema and the Abbey/Cathedral/ shops). It is also easy to get into the ring road and go to places like Nowton Park and West Stow. The value on a Sunday night is brilliant. I wish that Mondays could be a little cheaper so we could have two nights at once but it’s only 46 miles from us so a night away is still an adventure. (And, of course, it’s very popular!) All credit to them for keeping cheap Sunday nights, even in the summer holidays. We enjoyed a nice breakfast, too. The children don’t eat much for breakfast but, as they were free with my adult breakfast, it was great. Such good coffee. We can’t wait to come back.

Stayed in a Premier Plus room on the second floor: good strong shower, lovely comfy bed, air con good for coller air but not good for warming up the room. Reception staff very helpful. No problems at all. Would stay here again.
