"Review for the lovely Lou!!"
On arrival, the lovely Lou on reception was the kindest, sweetest lady with the biggest smile! Room was clean, tidy with comfortable bed. Room could’ve done with a little spruce up, sealant around the bath, bath panel was bubbly - I’m assuming from where water has gotten in, bathroom door didn’t lock and hairdryer sounded like it was about to blow up.
Breakfast was lovely as always!
I did notice a few rats outside one evening so knees up when walking to and from the hotel!!
I did mention all of this to the lovely ladies on reception the morning we were leaving.

"Clean and comfy"
We stayed for one night as a base for Alton Towers.
As to be expected with Premier Inn the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with plenty of amenities.
The down side was the breakfast, both my husband and I couldn’t eat the cooker breakfast it tasted like it had been cooked in very old oil.
I ended up having a couple of pastries which when you consider the price wasn’t great.

Great hotel for visiting Alton Towers.
The staff are very friendly & our room was clean & it was everything you expect from a premier inn.
The restaurant is quite small so you will need to book breakfast which is fine.

"Avoid - very dirty hotel."
Avoid this hotel. On entering the building where our room was located everything was dirty and clearly not been cleaned or hovered in months. Entering our room the filth continued, so much so, for the first time ever we refused to stay in the room. Unfortunately we couldn’t get another hotel so had to accept 2 other rooms (original room was a family room) which were at least cleaner. A very disturbed sleep with the noise of the air conditioner all night. The photos in the room were taken after I cleaned down all surfaces before we gave up and refused to sleep in the original room.

"Value for money, but unfortunate miss on the cleaning"
My family and I have stayed with Premier Inns many times before and are always satisfied as we know what we are getting. However this time, unfortunately, there had been a big miss in the cleaning of our room which resulted in inconvenience, delays and lost time for my family, especially as I was with two young children and we arrived after 6pm, expecting to get them ready for bed asap after check-in. Due to being fully booked, we needed to leave our room and go into the restaurant for half an hour while all bed sheets were changed and the bedroom and bathroom were thoroughly cleaned. The receptionist and duty manager were however very understanding and polite in the matter, but is was still a disappointment overall, even if things were put right in the end.

Take a flutter at Uttoxeter Racecourse, or a wild ride at Alton Towers. Step back in time at Sudbury Hall and the Museum of Childhood, or explore the ruins of Croxden Abbey. After a busy day, head back for a tasty meal in our restaurant and unwind in your spacious room and extra-comfy bed. Please note, there is a service station and a lorry park next door, both of which operate around the clock.
