"Promised a refund for early check in system problems"
Paid extra for early check in and arrived on the dot due to needing a room to quickly get ready for an event. After standing around for 40 mins whilst the computer system was not allowing a check in to be performed on an available room, The staff member apologised for this and offered to re-fund the early check in. I was charged full for the early check in and upon asking for the promised refund I was told I was now not getting it, going against what was promised at reception.
"Good Experience"
Good breakfast. Comfy beds. However no air con in the rooms. Check in was slow. Parking can also be an issue here, worth booking in advance
"Gemma is awesome and so are all the rest of the staff!"
Although the restaurant and bar were closed due to redevelopment all the staff were fantastic. Gemma in particular who helped me and my colleagues out, with various requests and she was an absolute star, The rooms were clean and beds comfy as per usual with premier inn. we stay here for two weeks every year due to LIV Golf and have never had a problem.
"Lovely hotel"
Lovely hotel, very quiet even though where it is positioned. Slept lovely. Biggest bonus is the air con! I’ve never stayed anywhere where the air con actually works well! When we entered the room it was lovely and cool just how we like! Despite the restaurant being refurbished a complimentary breakfast was offered and this was lovely.
"Noisy room"
Clean room but kept awake by noisy extractor fan. The guaranteed good nights sleep didnt happen ! Very limited breakfast options but this is probably due to ongoing refurbishment of the restaurant

We're handily located just off the A50 at the junction with Derby Road - so while the hotel may not be our quietest, you're in a great position to hit the road and discover everything the area has to offer. Take a flutter at Uttoxeter Racecourse, or a wild ride at Alton Towers. Step back in time at Sudbury Hall and the Museum of Childhood, or explore the ruins of Croxden Abbey. After a busy day, head back for a tasty meal in our restaurant and unwind in your spacious room and extra-comfy bed. Please note, there is a service station and a lorry park next door, both of which operate around the clock.
