"Comfy bed but...."
The room needed hoovering and the sink tap didnt heat up. The toilet was noisy when flushed as it literally groaned when refilling with water. The room 221 was next to the restaurant so all we heard from early morning were chairs scraping on the floor which wasn't a restful sleep. Staff at breakfast were miserable and had to be asked numerous times for continental items which had ran out but the chef was great replenishing the hot food.
Bed was really comfy and the shower was hot and spacious.

"AVOID The Social Restaurant"
The hotel is clean and good for money...on another hand The Social (Restaurant) AVOID, people waiting 50 mins for food and thats after everyone at table has eaten theres, Also sitting 25 mins just to get drinks, Staff standing at bar chatting rather than serving, one being the Manager. Ordered Mixed Grill, food was rotten, my wife and I were violently sick after it. Air con on over table which asked numerous times to be turned off as was frozen and made dinner cold. Daughters pizza could have used as bricks to build a house, pineapple was off. £84 later, better going to Burger King, Peppercorn Sauce comes in a good sized dish, but you get like enough to dip 2 chips into it. Don't waste money on this establishment.

"Family Stay after visiting Alton Towers"
Was happy with the comfort of the room but disappointed with the change of the restaurant. To me it is not fit for purpose of the hotel, it is too small and does not accommodate all hotel guests especially for breakfast. The dinners are over priced compared to the restaurant that used to be there. My 4 year old son’s meal was forgotten and his pizza was put through a microwave, there was hardly any cheese on it and you could see the steam rising. We were also left waiting 20mins for drinks, had to go up to the staff to remind them off our drinks. No beer on draft either. Very disappointed with the restaurant now.
Re-think the restaurant, it’s not fit for purpose and doesn’t accommodate all guests for breakfast. The dinners are overpriced, compared to eating at a hungry horse restaurant with the exact same menu.

"Disappointing"
Disappointing experience. This premier inn is now looking very tired. Still amazing comfy beds but that is all it has going for it. Booked as usual for close proximity to Alton Towers. However very noisy next to the main road so can’t sleep with window open. Can’t sleep with AC on as it made such a strange noise. No fan in room. Also extremely strong smell of bleach in the room which never faded. And don’t get me started on the new ‘Social’ restaurant next door. Fortunately we chose to eat dinner elsewhere so we weren’t subjected to this new restaurant til the next morning. It was dirty, none of the tables were wiped down and you could see crumbs/litter and food/drink spillages everywhere. Food on the floor. No warm welcome from the hostess in fact the two staff couldn’t look less like they wanted to work there if they tried. The atmosphere was dire, we couldn’t wait to leave.

After a busy day, head back for a tasty meal in our restaurant and unwind in your spacious room and extra-comfy bed.
