Tamworth Central hotel

From arrival reception right through to departure the staff were 1st class. Rooms were very clean and tea/coffee facilities available. Would certainly recommend this hotel

Exactly what you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Nice clean room. Clean bathroom. Comfortable beds. Beefeater next door. Car park. Very reasonable price. What makes this hotel excellent is their staff. My grandson left his soft toy behind. He's had this toy since he was born and was so upset when we realised we'd left him behind. Not only did the staff find the toy but they sent an email with pictures of him making new friends with other lost toys which made my grandson so happy after the initial tears and they returned him to us too. Thank you so much Suzanna and team. If we come back to Tamworth we will definately stay again. Staff make such a difference to the whole experience.

Interior of the room was pleasant and well maintained but the building is old and there was a lot of noise audible from other rooms particularly above. Didn't sleep well because of that and wouldn't stay there again. It's scruffy outside and The Beefeater is the grottiest I've seen.

Great location, walkable to other shops and restaurants and easy access to motorways. Car park spaces are very tight and reception not easily found (through a gap between buildings). Very friendly welcome and easy check in. Extra milk/coffee/teabags on a stand in foyer so you could help yourself - this is amazing so you’re not pestering staff. Hotel has had the new makeover and was spotlessly clean. But on entering our room it had a very bad strong smell of mould/damp - really hit you. We kept the door open and window open to try and air the room. Must be an issue. Also - we’d avoid breakfast in the beefeater. Staff were working flat out so can’t fault them. But the pub was very stuffy, and hot food kept running out despite staff trying their best. Fried eggs were all hard , bacon paper-thin and tasteless. Hot drinks, toast, cereal, croissants all fine but if we stayed again we’d nip over to McDonald’s for brekky!

Good location easy access , very quiet clean room good value for money Beefeater restaurant great selection of food steak cooked perfectly Very good quality breakfast not greasy or oily Eating areas always kept very clean great friendly staff I would stay over again
