"Weekend night stop"
The AC was not working.... I think everyone along our corridor had to wedge their door open so to exchange the stifling hot air in the rooms..
We had a fan from reception but this just moved the hot air around.. I did report this to reception but they said there was nothing they could do..
Having spent the last 7 years staying weekly (3-4 nights) in Premier in rooms through work up and down the country, i can say this was my worst night in a premier and i will not use that one again!
Unless its about -10 outside.. then you should be about comfortable.

"Don't book an evening meal"
Awful evening meal. I got the feeling evening the staff were surprised we was eating there. Im sure it wasn't a proper cook. The food was late, some items missing and the curry was watered down. We refused to eat the meal.

"Left early"
One of the worst hotel stays I have had in a long time. The room was so hot and stuffy with no opening windows and the air con locked so it could only be changed by staff. This led to not getting much sleep on the first night.
On the second night I asked the staff if the air-conditioning could be put on and was told I can have it on for an hour. (Why is that even a thing). The shower in room 205 (disability wet room) pooled the water by the door meaning for the next 2 days whenever I entered the room I would get wet feet. The door to the bathroom wouldn't close (needs some maintenance). Very little noise insulation so you can hear everyone above and either side of you.
So knackered after 2 nights with such little sleep that I checked out and decided to go back home a night early. Won't be going back

"Received a £100 car park fine, despite being promised free parking due to disruption. Customer service woeful"
Stayed at the Premier Inn in Leek and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
During our stay, we had to change rooms due to the heating not working, which was particularly inconvenient as we were heading out to a concert and were short on time. Staff handled the room change, but the disruption took away from the evening.
We were told at the time that parking would be free as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. However, after the stay I received a £100 parking charge from Horizon Parking. Despite contacting Premier Inn, they denied that free parking had been offered and did not assist in resolving the issue.
Basically called us liars saying that free car park was never offered.
Overall, the lack of follow-through and support after a service issue was disappointing. I would expect better communication and customer care when something goes wrong during a stay.

"Unbearably hot room"
The room we were given was unbearably hot, to the point we had to jar the door open with trainers to get some air in. The room was 26c in the morning and this is in April. Dread to think what it's like in the summer. Informed reception in the morning who were helpful and moved us.
They already knew there was an air con issue with some rooms. So the staff the day before checked our young family into a room they knew had broken air con!? This completely ruined our first day, we came for our son's birthday and we ended up spending the day at Alton towers tierd and worn out due to the awful nights sleep we all had in that room.
