Cannock (Orbital) hotel

The hotel receptionist was absolutely great being helpful and friendly, but unfortunately that's where the positives ended. Over the past 12 years we have witnessed a steady decline in all aspects of Premier Inn standards. This current stay typifies this as per the following examples: The restaurant was an absolute joke, for the following reasons: i.) They had to close the PH early due to a lack of staff. ii.) They had ran out of ALL but one larger, this is totally UNACCEPTABLE! iii.) They were running a reduced menu due to the ongoing PI changes, however even this menu had SEVERAL ITEMS UNAVAIBLE, again disappointing and unacceptable. iv.) At breakfast they had ran out of beans!! how can you run out of beans!!! Unacceptable!!! And finally the TV in the room was so small I could hardly watch it from the far end of the room. Usually with PI you at least get a decent size TV screen.

Very dated rooms in need of an upgrade. Was kept awake by other guest until early hours , shouting & slamming doors. Pre paid for a buffet breakfast, when we arrived at breakfast half of the full English menu wasn’t available. Very poor customer service from customer relations team afterwards. I’ll never book a premier inn again

We are a regular Premier Inn customer and would have to say this is the worst Premier Inn yet. Stayed here for 2 nights. It is very much in need of a refurb, the rooms look very tired and haven't been updated since the place was built. Only positive was the bed and friendly hotel reception staff. The Brewers Fayre next door is disgusting. It's almost as if the staff have given up with the place. The floor was covered from the previous night's food, plates and bowels still had food on, tables filthy, the breakfast was not very appealing and I think my fridge is warmer than the coffee that came out of the machine. We didn't bother having a cooked breakfast the following morning due to how poor it was. Overall it was a pleasant stay but was let down by the restaurant. Will not be returning to this Premier Inn.

Stayed here for two nights as visiting Alton towers. Although the room and hotel were clean, bed comfortable, it really is in need of updating. The brewers fayre, I understand are closing, you can tell with the way it is never kept clean. Both mornings for breakfast there was food and crumbs all over the floor. Breakfast cooked to order, sausages revolting. Closes at 9.45 at night so couldn't relax with a drink for long after our arrival. Just because the brewers fayre is closing in September there's no need to leave the place in such a terrible state. Not good. Reception staff on arrival very friendly and helpful. Would not stay here again even if refurbished

There is a railway track close by.....quite noisy at times. Not sure if it was mentioned...but it certainly should be. Room itself was fine 🙂
