Burton On Trent East hotel

Very good staff on reception to welcome you, as always with Premier Inn I find, and easy parking. However, as a hotel this has to be the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in. The breakfast we had prepaid for was not available due to staff shortages I think they said. However, by the look of it, breakfast would not have been pleasant anyway, the sign above the door outside the restaurant was hanging off by one screw, which reflected the condition of the entire hotel. Very tired, scruffy and noisy with stale smelling rooms. Burton on Trent Premier Inn East needs a desperate make over.

We booked a night in the Premier inn to attend a family event, we drove from Near Winchester via Basingstoke to Burton on Trent so we're looking forward to a relaxing drink in the resturant / pub next door, unfortunately when we arrived the resturant was closed "Due to staff shortages" at no point did Premier Inn inform us of this, dreadful service from Premier Inn. At this point instead of a relaxing evening we drove into town. The room itself was very dusty and suffered badly with road noise, the double glazing and secondary double glazing did little to stop the noise from the very busy road a few feet away. The room was dated, very dusty around the windows and the skirting boards in the shower room blown due to water damage. The carpets throughout the communal areas were thread bare in places. There is no lift at the hotel so if you have mobility issues ensure to book a ground floor room. There is also no Air Conditioning at the hotel. Unfortunately we paid £ 115 for the night which represents very poor value for money. On the bright side the reception staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Dated , dusty in places , side table by bed sticky , not clean no food after a four hour drive due to staff shortages. Had to get in car and drive to town in pursuit for good . Not suitable for elderly as lots of stairs no lift . Don't recommend , not worth £115 Staff friendly.

A pleasant greeting from Michelle and Alex at the front desk, who was able to accommodate me and provided customer service that went above and beyond. The room was clean and cosy and bed was comfortable. I would definitely book again

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and this is the second time I have been accommodated in the summer months. The stay was unpleasant in the heat, no aircon, the fans blow out hot air around the room, the water was lukewarm warm even after running for some minutes, so no cool water to drink. I used a sheet that the reception team provided, this was about as cool as I could get. Premier Inn please take note, the summer months getting warmer and no air-conditioning, not just me but older people need to be accommodated also,
