      "Exceeded expectations"
We stayed on a quiet Sunday night with a group of around 20 people. Check in was easy and the room was clean. I don’t normally review chain hotels but I am for 1 reason particularly, the food and service! The evening meal was exceptional and fantastic value. The two ladies serving were run off their feet but were lovely and accommodating. The following morning breakfast was the best we’d had in a Premier Inn. Both chef’s for dinner and breakfast really cared about what they presented.
"Clean, spacious and value for money"
Clean and spacious room. Located in a nice area of town with lots of amenities nearby. Hotel was clean and comfortable. We stayed in family room and 1 of the kids "beds" was like sleeping on concrete, so she ended up in my bed. But overall value for money was excellent
"The worst Premier inn we have stayed at"
Room was large but had a really damp mouldy smell which we found was coming from the bathroom. The toilet seat was stained with urine and the shower curtain smelt very bad. Paint coming off the skirting boards everywhere looked tatty. Also found a large piece of snot had been wiped on the mirror in the bedroom and not cleaned off. Air con didn't work properly and windows didn't open so the room was extremely hot. Went for our evening meal at the attached restaurant and that also wasn't great - items missing off our plates, children only got one side of corn when menu said two, asked for cheese on burgers came out without any, Korean burger had no Asian crunchy slaw when we asked for it we got normal coleslaw with a squirt if chili sauce in, pancakes were stone cold. Breakfast was dreadful waited ages for items in the hot buffet to be topped up only for others to then be missing. Very few continental options as we were told they hadn't defrosted in time! Usually love a Premier inn but wouldn't stay in this one again.
      "Great service"
Jess was brilliant in the restaurant. Thank you! Dinner and Breakfast great. Shame you can't tip the staff in the restaurant so this is a shout out to them! Good value for money and good quality food. Rooms usual standard and comfy and change your tipping policy!
      "Cancel your booking"
After travelling over 3 hours on a Friday afternoon from Southampton & having previously stayed at the Premier Inn in Richmond at the beginning of the month, our expectations were high & we were looking forward to a much needed sleep as daughter performing at Moira Canal Festival in morning- she's a young performer. Upon arrival,we were informed the restaurant would be closing in 45 mins,so the receptionist kindly booked us in.We went straight there & ordered nachos with chilli, a larger bites chicken burger & smaller chicken bites. The chilli was lukewarm, my daughter was given a beef burger & so had to wait a further 20 mins for chicken burger to be cooked. Both daughters ordered a carton drink with meal & were given a glass of apple juice, which we were charged for. However, this was refunded as my husband complained. However, willing to let it all go,as all so very tired & needed to freshen up get to bed & have a "guaranteed good night's sleep" as advertised. Alas, no. Upon entering the room, we were we greeted by scuffed walls by children's beds (not a nice thing to sleep next too), strip of different coloured paint in corner, drink spillages on skirting boards, dirty carpet no vacuumed properly, both bedside tables removed so nowhere to put a drink or charge a phone for night and have alarm clock next to bed. No USB sockets at all( luckily bought a plug). Again, very disappointed but just needed to wash & get to sleep. However, upon entering the bathroom, again, there were dirty skirting boards, red shower gel down wall & no bodywash in the bottle provided to freshen up with. So yet another problem. By 10pm managed to get both daughters into bed, however they are continuing to complain how uncomfortable the beds are,so there goes our "good night's sleep", as we now have a 12 & 9 year old in with us & you can imagine that none of us are able to sleep well at all. It's too late to go down & complain with kids in tow; it's all highly stressful & instead of sleeping, here I am emailing a complaint at 11 pm. Also, as I am sitting writing , I can hear noise from the neighbouring room. Just want to leave asap. My daughter is performing in Midlands every weekend this month but will be cancelling future Premier Inn bookings in Lichfield & Dudley as I can't go through this again 😵‍💫 Seriously, got the "ICK!"
