Sheffield Meadowhall hotel

Room smelt of sewage coming from bathroom plug hole. Room and corridor felt tired, old and in need of renovation. No air con so room was stuffy. The stuffiness mixed with smell of sewage made the room feel dirty snd stopping in the room was a bad experience. Very off putting. Poor standards by Premier Inn. The room should not be booked out til the swage issue is fixed. Also a lot of fly tipped rubbish floating round on the car park near the exit of the car park next to a derelict TGI Fridays doesnt give the best of impressions.

Disappointing Stay – Second Time With No Air Conditioning Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve stayed at this Premier Inn this year and experienced the same issue with no working air conditioning. On arrival, I was told the air conditioning wasn’t working and that the hotel had removed the duvets from the rooms, leaving just sheets, with ice water available at reception. While I appreciate the staff trying to help, this really isn’t an adequate solution. The room was like a hotbox every night and genuinely uncomfortable to sleep in. A fan was provided, but it had a cable of around 1 metre and the only suitable socket was by the TV on the opposite side of the room from the bed, making it pretty useless when trying to sleep. I completely understand that faults happen, but when I’ve experienced the same problem on two separate stays, it’s difficult to see this as a temporary issue. If a hotel knows its air conditioning isn’t working, guests should be told before arrival and given the option to make alternative arrangements. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I hold a Premier Inn Business Account and regularly book hotels for business travel. After this experience, I’ll now be seriously reconsidering if Premier Inn is where I want to continue placing my business and future bookings. The staff were polite and helpful, but unfortunately they were dealing with a problem that should have been properly addressed by the hotel.

Easy check in, great friendly staff, comfy room and convenient location. Yes there's no Aircon but they put a fan in the room and did all they can to make it comfortable

I stayed in the premier inn Meadowhall in Sheffield. I pulled a duvet out from under the bed. It had no cover on and it had a big yellow stain on it 🤢 The following morning we went down to breakfast. I slipped on a patch of water and fell. I’ve got several injuries. There was no wet floor sign. I wasn’t offered as much as an ice pack just a chair to sit on and they didn’t write it in an accident book. I emailed several times to no avail. So I ended to commenting on a fb post where they sent me a link to fb messenger. I’ve been asking for a refund for seven days and they said it needs investigating. I’ve stayed a claim against them

The rooms don’t have aircon just a little room fan. Had to have window open and had noises from cars and people in the night. Our bath towels had large questionable stains Attempting to use the bath for the kids resulted in loss of black bits in the bath. A lot from the handles
