Sheffield City Centre (St Mary's Gate) hotel

Simple; "bad" as the hotel is designed not to have any wardrobes in the rooms, while me having a one-week booking to attend important business. The mattress is a medium-quality one. Staff are polite and helpful, but the hotel seems as if, designed for "one-night" city centre customers.

A top Premier Inn. Clean, comfortable with efficient and welcoming staff. Great location for city centre with private, secure parking (£6pn). Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night at this large and well-located Premier Inn in Sheffield, choosing a Premium Room on the 12th floor. The room was spacious and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The quiet air conditioning made for a restful night’s sleep. The staff were excellent and really added to our experience. Courtney checked us in and later served us drinks at the bar — she was efficient, friendly, and full of energy. Nick looked after us during dinner and was attentive and welcoming, taking the time to recommend a delicious pizza and making sure our salad came with dressing on the side, just as we’d asked. A small touch, but much appreciated. Overall, a very enjoyable and seamless stay — a great example of what Premier Inn can offer.

I have stayed at many hotels and it’s the best service I have had for a long time, if you ever want a great place and friendly service this is a must, Service 10/10 rooms spotless clean and a great breakfast. I hope Courtney goes a long way in this trade as she is a breath of fresh air and a brilliant person.

What an amazingly clean and well run hotel! Stayed here for our daughter's graduation, and I can't recommend this hotel enough! It is spotless, quiet (on the 11th floor anyway!) and so efficiently run that it is so difficult to find a fault - the only minor irritation was waiting for the lifts, but that is so picky! The beds are very comfortable and clean, with extra bedding if needed. You get a nice big TV too. The aircon worked perfectly and was easy to operate. Similarly, the bathroom was very clean and the toiletries (liquid soap & shampoo) were really good quality. We had a full english breakfast at just after 08.45 and expected to queue as the hotel was fully booked, but it was surprisingly quiet. I was impressed by the breakfast which was an 'all you can eat' buffet for £10.99 and was really very good with cereals & juices, and also the usual fare of bacon, sausages, eggs, black pudding, hash browns, fried tomatoes etc. The eggs were fried, but if you wanted scrambled, poached or boiled, then they could be cooked to order too. The food was hot and really good quality. The staff were polite and unobtrusive, but also couldn't do enough for you if asked. Even the maid was lovely as we left! Overall, a lovely hotel and experience and a credit to Sheffield. Thank you!
