"Need to treat guests better where food is concerned!"
The location is fab, staff lovely and bed comfy. However I dont think that I would eat at the hotel again if I stay there in future. Despite being told that guests have priority in the restaurant I found that NOT to be the case, We had a long queue to even get in for breakfast, most in front werent guests of the hotel and most werent asked either. By the time we got in to sit down, we didnt have much time left to eat. Also the full range of what was advertised was not available. So the food side of things really lets it down. A shame, because otherwise would have been a high rated review....Premier Inn, please look after the guests who have actually paid to stay with you before joe bloggs off the street please!!
"Great hotel"
The room in 212 was very good everything was good and clean the car park is a very good price if you coming in a car only problem is in 212 the aircon isn't very good it doesn't blow out cold air and not fast and when you turn it up it doesn't get warm either that the only fault
"Lovely room, appalling breakfast."
Premier Inn Arena, Sheffield, 24th/25th July 2025. The main reason we have stayed at various Premier Inns all over the country for many years now is because they do not accept pets. Such hotels are very hard to find, To summarise this review. The room was exceptionally good, clearly recently refurbished, spotlessly clean and totally accessible for my disabled husband. A ‘Next Evolution Premier Plus’ and an immense improvement from when we last stayed However, the breakfast was the very worst we have ever had… When will Premier Inns realise that hot food doesn’t do well on cold plates? Why do none of the Premier Inns and their restaurants understand that COLD PLATES mean COLD FOOD? By the time you have walked down the buffet line and carried your food to your table, the majority of the items on your plate are cold – even if they were hot in the first place. In this instance, on the morning of July 25th 2025, the sausages were warm, bacon cold and not just overcooked but so hard as to be inedible, eggs rubbery, tomato cold and sour tasting, mushrooms absolutely clock-cold. I mentioned to the guy in charge of seating people that the food was cold. When I asked what he expected when the plates were stone cold, he looked astonished. However, a few minutes later the chef was to be seen sticking a thermometer in the beans. He seemed fairly pleased with his findings but I noticed fresh food was brought out/refreshed fairly promptly. The issue with our cold food could not have been because it had been sitting around a while in the buffet dishes because the restaurant was absolutely full, therefore you would expect a fairly regular turnround of fresh, hot food. I am assuming there was no remedy for the cold plates… Some of the restaurants on Premier Inn premises do have plate warmers in the form of a heated stacker. The plates sitting on the heater are warm, but unfortunately the plates are stacked so high that those on top are, of course – COLD. Unfortunately, at Premier Inn Arena, even this hit and miss piece of equipment is not available. The plates were just stacked in piles on a table by the buffet. I have had some very reasonable breakfast at various Premiers in the past, but this was without doubt, absolutely the very worse. It cannot be beyond the wit of some bright spark in this immense organisation to devise a way of delivering hot food on warm plates. Please get your act together Premier. N.B. Recommendation: - A really good alternative to these hit and miss breakfasts at the Premier Arena is to hot-foot it down to M&S at Meadowhall for their lush bacon sandwiches…
"Great location and comfortable stay."
Great location, walking distance to the arena and plenty of nice restaurants. £3 parking rather than £14 at the arena, which was a bonus. Clean, comfortable room, overall a good stay.
"Fab stay in convenient location."
Stayed here for two nights while attending Gladiators filming at the arena. The hotel was fab. Clean and bright room which looked like a recent refurb. Shower was fantastic. The staff here were super friendly. Breakfast was normal buffet style. The eating area is small though so can get busy very quickly. Evening meal was relatively nice as Well. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.
