Doncaster (Lakeside) hotel

We arrived later than expected after a busy run up the A1. Marie, who was on duty, welcomed us and went out of her way to help out with a number of issues, one of which was that we hadn’t completed the online booking process and didn’t have a room! After sorting this out she arranged for us to get a meal. She went above and beyond in helping, showing genuine care. Our room was excellent and once again we slept extremely well on the wonderful mattress. So comfortable.

Nice stay. Hotel is situated on a very busy road but it wasn't a problem, we didn't need to open the window because there was air con in our room. The wheelchair accessible room was large and clean. Sadly the bed was not king size and as usual in Premier Inn accessible rooms was far too low. Mandira, as everyone is saying is lovely. She helped us with a minor problem and is so friendly

A really nice Premier Inn - superbly located near the lake and The Keepmoat Stadium. Had a lovely walk around the lake one night - gentle hour stroll before evening meal. Lakeside shopping outlet is also next door - and its only a short drive to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome and gave us helpful tips about the area.

It I could give 0 stars I would The good night guarantee is simply a lie! Upon arrival there were 2 masked men on a motorcycle cruising the car park. One got off and started trying car doors. After a few minutes and no luck he got on the bike and they drove off. Both our family including a 2 year old and a couple of other men in a van had remained in our vehicles effectively trapped for fear they could have been armed. When we reported this to reception we were told it happens all the time and there’s no point reporting it to the police because they do nothing! The receptionist also stated on one occasion she had had to flee the reception area because a man armed with a machete entered!! We insisted they called the police which they claimed to have done but we were not interviewed and despite numerous requests premier inn guest relations have refused to provide the crime reference number. Needless to stay we barely slept for the duration of our stay - waking to every noise and movement - and this was after deadlocking the doors and putting obstacles in the way of windows and doors to try to protect ourselves - especially as we were on the ground floor! To add insult to injury halfway through our stay we were forced to move rooms impacting our stay even further as we were moved closer to the car park. We let reception know we were unhappy about all these issues and just got a tough luck - it happens everywhere - it does not! We have stayed in premier inn across the country and overseas and it has never happened before! We requested a refund under the good night guarantee and Toni at guest relations told us the car park is not their responsibility and they would not refund. Utterly disgraceful. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER! In fact don’t stay at Premier Inn at all - they are totally dishonorable and the good night guarantee it false advertising which we will be reporting!

Great stay and provided a good sleep for the night, as you’d expect with Premier Inn. Special mention to Mandira who dealt with us superbly and very kindly let us check in early.
