Doncaster (Lakeside) hotel

Rooms were nice and everything else but i felt the staff were rather rude as they claimed we couldn’t be coming in and out after leaving once and re entering once even though time was not even 7 o’clock i was often spoken to rudely even though i was extremely respectful. They also claimed people couldn’t go into other rooms just to socialise during the day i understand the hazards with fire safety but the way they asked us to leave was beyond disrespectful.

Great location. Premier rooms are well worth that little bit extra. Spacious and spotlessly clean with little added luxuries. Staff at reception were nice. Breakfast was absolutely not worth the money- I know its a beefeater chain attached to this hotel, but we paid via the hotel and as such it reflects upon the hotel itself. It was awful, sticky floor and tables, lots of flies , mainly landing on the bread. Hot food was not good at all if was as though it had been left under the hot lamps too long. Claustrophobic feeling with everyone getting impatient waiting to take their turns. Just not a pleasant start to the day at all.

I use the Premiere Inn in Doncaster Lakeside quite regular. Rooms are clean, breakfast is nice, staff is wonderful. There are also some restaurants nearby. Its great as a business hotel. Its a little bit outside from the City Center, so plan for an Uber.

The hotel is very nice and clean and in a great location. We have stayed here several times before but this time it was disappointing due to the imminent restaurant closure When we arrived on the Sunday we asked to add the meal deal for dinner and Breakfast. We were told the restaurant was shut due to lack of staff, which was a real let down. After that it got worse. We asked again on the Monday and we were told that the restaurant was operating a reduced menu due to its closure in 3 weeks time. We check the reduced menu and accepted that not everything was available, even though we were charged full price. When we went for dinner just an hour after checking the menu we were told there was now no longer any steak available, so the options were really limited. Still we found something to eat from what was left. The next morning we went for breakfast and as we checked in we were told there was next to no continental options and if items ran out they would not be replaced. This was incredibly frustrating as my kids don't like cooked breakfast and had one option, toast...and that was only brown bread. I understand the restaurant is closing but that is 3 weeks away and to have so very few options does not warrant paying full price for the meal deal. We have stayed with premier inn all over the country and keep using them as the locations and facilities are usually very good. With the national closures of all the restaurants and the potential to have such limited meal options we will have to consider where we stay in the future
