"Not great stay"
On arrival was advised that only family room available was one for disabled people, meaning room had no bathtube, but a walk in shower with all the fitted handles, bars and chairs. Light bulbs in the room and shower were so dim, it was way too dark all the time. The floor was squeeking loudly. The noise from the road was way too loud at night. And the worst was the smell. It smelled like medicine of some sort, and it was so strong that after leaving the hotel all the clothes even in the luggage had soked in the smell. Worst stay in Premier Inn to this day. Review based on our experience only.
"Quiet small hotel, good service"
Easy to find, very self contained small hotel located on an industrial park. Room quiet and comfortable, food choices very good. If there is any criticism, there is nothing else around so eating in the hotel is pretty much the only option, although this was not a problem for me, the meal deal is good value for money.
"Too hot too handle"
Ok if you want to sleep in a sauna and it wasn’t not hot outside so that was not making rooms hotter . Website says no conditioning in hotel so did not book premier plus but apparently there is so miss sold . Hardly any staff around and restaurant very basic .
"The staff here are stars!"
Very enjoyable stay. I liked the new Social cafe-bar (better than Brewers Fayre or Beefeater pubs). The bedroom as usual was spotless and comfortable, the bathroom too was clean, but the water pressure was such that when I slightly turned on my sink-tap, water sprayed all over me. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful, but Katy is amazing and obviously loves her job!
"Spontaneous Escape"
Me and my family stayed here on a whim midweek and the overall experience was fairly positive. Sadly due to staffing issues the room wasn't ready when we arrived at 3pm, but the manager personally went to assist the cleaners so our room would be ready quick. 10 minutes later, we were checked in and in the room. On the first visit to the bathroom we found evidence of a yeti attack (hairs everywhere), but one quick trip to the reception and the manager immediately came to rectify it. We then came to have a nosey at the advertised play areas for the kids.. There are none, despite the app and website advertising it (6/8/25).apparently the brewers fayre (and play areas) have been ripped out and replaced with "the social". Shame considering it was literally the reason we chose this hotel over others. We then asked about evening meal (not to start serving until 6pm) and decided to reserve just in case. When we went for our meal we were met by the lovely Katy, what a credit to the hotel she was. Nothing too much trouble, attentive to finishing each course and great with the kids (no easy feat as they're autistic). The poor woman was run ragged single handedly running the bar, bussing the food, seating guests, changing barrels and taking orders. The food was overall good, short waiting times, hot and tasted good. Breakfast time was a similar experience regarding quality and speed, however the coffee machine was in need of some repairs (although it did work) and the juice glasses could of done with another run through the dishwasher. In summary, we would stay again (but only if Katy is still here).
