"Very helpful manager who did her best but would never visit again"
We had incorrectly stated there was 1 guest when there were in fact 2. We have done this in error before and it's never been a problem. However, on this occasion the young man we saw said it was, due to health and safety, and house keeping. He the proceeded to tell me there would be a £40 + additional charge on top of what we had already paid. My partner disputed this and thankfully a very helpful young female manager was on hand to sort things out. She discovered the young man had cancelled our original booking and created a new one at a higher cost, and expected us to pay the difference. The young manager was wonderful and got us biscuits, a drink, and subsequently a snack in the restuarant. She had to call her manager to sort the mess out, and eventually, 2 hours after arrival we got to our room. Without her there, I seriously doubt we would have got in the room without paying the extra fee demanded originally.
Unfortunately, this was not the end of the saga. At breakfast we were told we could have as much as we wanted, but it would be cooked freshly to order. We both ordered, yet we did not get the correct order to start with and were handed a breakfast ordered by the only other table in the restaurant. We questioned this and the breakfasts were passed to the correct recipients. When ours arrived the quantities of items requested were incorrect, and I never got the gluten free toast that we asked for in accordance with the sign on the serving area. We were never asked if we wanted anything else and the stock of available items was very poor, even though it was only 9.00 am. The restaurant was not presentable (a lot of tables were a mess with uncleared plates)
We stay with Premier Inn quite often and have never experienced anything as bad. The only shining light was the young manager. Despite her, we would never stay at this Hotel again and will think seriously about which company we use in future.

"Friendly fun staff."
Extremely friendly welcome. Had a jovial encounter with the reception staff. The evening meal was freshly cooked for everyone & was very good.

"Breakfast is a disaster"
In common with other reviewers the breakfast was a shambles. The cook can only cook each breakfast 'to order'. What this means in practice is that he can only cook each breakfast individually - i.e. just 1 at a time. This means that breakfast takes far too long - waiting 40-60 minutes is not unusual. Coupled with the rudeness of the waitress you are better off going to Wetherspoons next door where breakfast is served quickly and politely.

"Awesome service from Danielle"
Greeted by Danielle, who was friendly and efficient. Had an issue with the room air-conditioning on full , being very loud and not turning off . I spoke to another friendly staff member in the bar, who directed me back to Danielle.
It was agreed that upon my return I could swap to a different room. I spoke to the young man on reception - i was told to bring my case down to the lobby and a new key would be issued - not on Danielle's watch , she knocked on the room door offered to help me move. Picked up my case and I was guided to my new abode.
This young lady went above and beyond in every aspect. I felt seen, listened to and probably the best service ive had in any hotel. Well done , those extra thoughtful steps can make the world of difference to people. She should be put onto training all your staff.
( This is the 18th premier inn ive stayed in, in 12 months)

"Save your money - stay at home"
1 towel between two, very little toilet roll, limited staff, we had early arrival but couldn’t find staff to check in so waited 45 minutes to check in and we had 1 pillow each, air con was like sleeping with a lawn mower when it felt like working, we had to keep switching it on in the night. Parking is too far away for a disabled person. Stay at home and save the £110.
