"Extremely Disappointing - Poor service & Unprofessional Staff (Morgan)"
Rating: 1/10
I stayed at this Premier Inn from 2nd–4th January, and this was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
Although I booked well in advance for two rooms (one double and one twin), I was not given the twin room I originally requested. Instead, we were given an interconnecting family room, but when we accessed the second room, the interconnecting door was locked. I had to return to reception to report this issue again. On top of that, there were no towels in the room, despite the hotel knowing there were three guests staying. I had to go back to reception just to request towels.
A male staff member (bald, wearing glasses) made us wait while he opened the door “you’ll need to stay here, you can’t go up until I can tell you.” Because they failed to accommodate us with our request (requested ahead of time for an interconnection room) While safety is understandable, his tone and manner were rude, making the situation uncomfortable and inconvenient.
Breakfast Experience – Very Poor
On 3rd January, we were booked in for breakfast without being informed in advance that booking was required (this was also not clearly stated on the website). This was inconvenient as we were on a tight schedule.
When we went downstairs, we followed the sign saying “Please wait to be seated.” We waited for a long time and were completely ignored, despite breakfast nearing closing time. The server (a woman in her late 30s–40s) did not greet or acknowledge us at all, even though she cleared tables and warmly greeted other guests who arrived after us. We waited over 40 minutes and eventually left without receiving any breakfast.
The receptionist, Morgan (blue hair), told us that cooked food would take time, which we fully understood. However, she showed no empathy for the situation and spoke to us in a rude and dismissive tone. She even questioned why we didn’t just have the continental breakfast while waiting. We paid extra for the Premier hot breakfast, which is exactly why we did not want the continental option.
Treatment & Discrimination Concerns
What made this experience worse was the clear difference in how we were treated compared to other guests. During checkout on 4th January, Morgan did not greet us at all and continued to be blunt and unaccommodating. At the same time, she was friendly, welcoming, and polite to other guests. This behaviour made myself and my friends feel uncomfortable and discriminated against, particularly as we come from a minority background.
When I requested email confirmation for the breakfast refund, I was told they don’t provide email confirmations, which I found very odd. I was told only an invoice could be provided and that the second refund would be processed “when she had the chance.” This lack of professionalism was very concerning.
Cleanliness & Facilities
• One of the toilets had hair everywhere
• Not enough towels provided
• Hairdryer barely worked (very weak power)
• Pillows were extremely thin
• No door guard/chain, which raised safety concerns
I came to Yeovil to attend an event and visit friends, expecting a pleasant getaway. Instead, this stay was stressful, disappointing, and uncomfortable.
I have travelled extensively and stayed in hotels of all price ranges, and this is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve had. Calling this a “Premier Inn” is misleading — there was nothing premier about the service.
Even though the location is in the centre, I would still be concerned with the safety as anyone can access the lift to the room.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

"sub average premier inn with very slow but delicious breakfasts standard rooms and amazing staff"
The premier inn room was very average comfy bed decent sized room no problems there just what I’d expect from a premier inn room
The breakfast was nice but made to order we were waiting an hour when we went down at 9am on a Saturday but we went down at 8:30 all other days and the wait was considerably better. So breakfast was fine but don’t go at peak time (9am)
The bar in the evening was simply a place to sit outside your room if you want a proper bar with good atmosphere go elsewhere.
the staff were lovely very friendly and very helpful all round best staff ever at premier inns

"Stay somewhere else if you want breakfast"
Appalling breakfast service. They don’t do a buffet like most premier inn’s and have just one chef cooking. It seems rather than cook multiple items at once he was cooking 1 breakfast at a time therefore I was waiting over 50 minutes until I got mine and when it came bits were burnt. Not nice at all.
No real choice for continental as they seemed to have run out of everything. Loads of people were walking out. Interestingly my colleagues had warned me the previous day that this hotel was known for either no breakfast or a VERY long wait.
Overall the room was ok, I booked an early check-in and when I arrived they weren’t sure it was ready so I had to wait in reception while they checked.
I have stayed in a lot of premier inns and this is by far the worst.

"No breakfast, terrible night's sleep"
Terrible night's sleep and to add insult to injury, and despite pre-paying for breakfast, we didn't get any, despite waiting 45 minutes. At the point of the waitress taking our order, there was only four people in the entire restaurant! Seriously, don't bother staying there! If you're hungry, go into town and get something, as you will NOT get served!!!!

"The best Preimer Inn I have stayed in."
As expected the hotel was clean and efficent. This in has their own resturant which was excelent, we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast.
