"Perfect choice when visiting the local sites - air con and free parking - clean and comfortable rooms"
We have used this Premier Inn a few times over the last 5/6 years, it's convenient for visiting family and as a base for exploring the local area. My only issue which I have every time is finding the entrance! There are 2 entrance points either end of a slip road and in the dark it is virtually impossible to find either, even with SatNav until you are literally at the junction - we now know to look for the post box on the left as we pass the Service station, turning for Lympsham and the car garages when coming from the Burnham end and to keep our eyes peeled for the pub signage coming from Weston, a brown sign 100m before the turning would help. That is my only issue though.Ample free parking, numberplate taken at check in in case your alarm goes off or you've left a window open - rooms which are clean and comfy - pub restaurant which serves breakfast linked to the hotel part without leaving the building. Every staff member was welcoming and pleasant. Check in was easy, reminded to book breakfast at a time that suited us. Breakfast options were continental and full breakfast, cooked fresh to order, as you'd like it. I asked if the fat/rind could please be trimmed off my bacon and it was no trouble. There were 3 wedding parties booked in over the weekend so our room allocation was at the far end of the ground floor corridor, away from any potential disruption - no problem for us at all. We visited Weston to eat out at our favourite Italian, Wookey Hole and Cheddar (not far) and Brean Down beach which dogs can run along, with it's National Trust car park/café. The hotel looks a little tired from the outside but inside it is bright, clean, modern and the beds provide the comfort you expect from a Premier Inn. We had a King size and a full sized single bed which was perfect for my teenage son. The rooms have air con which given how hot it's been, was a godsend - not too noisy and easy to set using the instructions provided in the room.
      "Stank of Mould and Damp"
The room stank of mould and damp, and the bathroom had mould around the tiles. The corridor smelt of damp. Arriving late and planning an early start the next day, I didn't have the energy to move hotels. The air conditioning just moved the mould around. The mouldy-ness was so bad I wonder if it might be a health threat. Furthermore, the room and hotel just felt rough and neglected - and certainly nowhere near the room rate charged. The front reception staff were pleasant.
"Good hotel but the prices keep increasing"
Good hotel with good food at a fair price. The actual hotel prices have crept up by over 100% since 2022. I hope Premier Inn goes back to its roots offering value room prices.
      "Premier Inn Weston-Super-Mare (junction 22 M5)"
Had a very good night sleep at this Premier Inn the food was brilliant but WIFI was a bit poor can’t fault the place thou, didn’t have far to travel if wanted to go to Weston-Super-Mare or Burnham On Sea and if any problems the Staff was very helpful
"YES to Countryside Gem but NO to Regimented Seating!"
We found the hotel a little difficult to spot initially as it's set back off the main road, but this turned out to be an advantage as the road itself is quite busy and noisy during the day. The hotel is also surrounded by lovely countryside which was an absolute joy once we started exploring - beautiful birdsong, dragonflies and butterflies - absolute bliss! Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable (if a little old fashioned), and we really appreciated the air-conditioning! Where the standards dropped for me was where the regimented control of seating began in the restaurant. (Why are people always shown to the worst seats?) Surely it's common sense to spread people about a bit and perhaps give them the choice of where they'd like to sit?! The food itself was good, but at breakfast (after we asked to be moved yet again) it completely affected my enjoyment and I wished we'd left early and gone somewhere else instead. It was a shame for us to leave on that note as overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely like to return.
