"A heartfelt thank you to the team at premier inn"
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights while attending a funeral, and the staff made a difficult time much easier. We arrived very late on the first night when there was nowhere open for food, but we did find a kebab should on route 2 mins away just before it closed and the gentleman who checked us in kindly found us a plate and cutlery — a small gesture that meant a lot. The next morning we had breakfast, and our expectations were completely surpassed. Chef Ray is an absolute master of poached eggs and such a cheerful, friendly presence. He chats with everyone and brightens the whole room. When we went back to our room to use the shower, we embarrassingly couldn’t work out the taps, but Chanel came up straight away to help us without a hint of judgement. She was so kind and understanding. Breakfast the following morning was just as good, if not better. Both Chanel and Chef Ray greeted us like old friends, remembered us from the day before, and made us feel completely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Premier Inn are very lucky to have such genuinely friendly, customer-focused staff. They do the company proud and made our stay far better than we ever expected.
"We broke down on the M5 on our way to Devon."
Trudy & Nikki on reception were so helpful, after breaking down on the m5 on our way to Devon. Found us a room & gave us details of where we could eat. Thank you
"Visiting Shepton Mallet for surgery."
Decided to stay overnight before my husbands hip operation at Shepton Mallet. Reasonable rates for the room which was very comfortable. The hotel is on the main route to Shepton Mallet and an easy drive to our destination - 6 or 7 minutes - saved me worrying about the weather and being late for the 6am appointment for his op. Nice to visit Wells Cathedral before returning for visiting time. Made a worrying time considerably more stress free. Thank you.
"Awful visit, others beware"
A couple for an evening away and attending an event. We arrived on Saturday an hour early, asked if we could check in and we said yes thats fine. All checked in after what I can only describe as the highest bill ive ever had for 2 people at a premier inn. For the price we paid we could have stayed at a 4* with spa facilities and that was breakfast with the price also. Please note this hotel doesn't have a proper bar and every time you wanted a drink you had to ask and find a staff member. Staff rude and everything asked was way too much trouble for them, even asking for an ironing board, got the huffs and puffs because I asked. Further more, no windows open so no fresh air, which isnt ideal when its baking in the rooms. Yes fans that go down to 16c and up to 24c. So leaving hotel, thats after a huge bill of all add ons etc you then have to pay for parking!!! £8 just for the privilege. Once home, realised they charged us £15 for early chexk in and wasn't informed they would do.
"Premier Inn at its best"
Premier Inn at its best. Comfy bed, excellent breakfast and value for money Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside was we had to pay for parking.
