"Terrible eating experience"
Hotel side of things perfect. Clean room, self check in ok. The restaurant on Sunday 4th October evening was the worst eating experience of my life! Went to eat at 19.15...advised by the little madam that no tables available until 20.30 due to being busy. My god...if that was busy, I dread to think how they would cope if more than the 4 tables in use were being utilised !!!. Returned at 20.30. Meal ok. Totally put off by the lack of understanding by the so called team manger. Rude & cocky!! Breakfast following morning..spot on. Deffo will never return!!

We've been staying here at least twice a year for 5/6 years. Up until now all has been brilliant. This visit was so different.
Room was spotless, no issues at all.
The checking in system was so slow, even the reception staff were struggling.
The restaurant was absolutely awful. There was a 2.5 hour wait for a table, only 2 staff serving, they were trying their best but under so much pressure. Breakfast was as bad, dirty tables, food not stocked up. Absolutely need more staff on duty.
It's a real shame.

"Perfect stay"
Everything was perfect. Staff friendly, we had joining 2 rooms. All clean. Comfy beds, we ate breakfast was lovely and we had evening meal was perfect too. Great stay thank you

"Hotel excellent - restaurant a shambles!"
Hotel very good. Lovely room and very clean. Asked for it to be cleaned after 2 days stay and it was cleaned very well. Very impressed.
Unfortunately the Brewers Fayre restaurant is another matter!
What a shambles. Not enough staff. The staff that were on duty (two for the whole restaurant) were rushing around. Everyone was complaining which made dining there very stressful and not an enjoyable experience.
How they keep staff at all is a surprise!
This reflects so badly on Whitbread and Premier Inns as employers but somehow feel they don’t care.

Big shout-out to Nicki, the cleaner! She was lovely, friendly and did a brilliant job. The room was spotless and fresh. Credit where it’s due — Nicki is a star! 👏 not to mention the general manger shakira and her sidekick who helped with room change as mine had a pre existing fault I would recommend staying here
