"Over £350 wasted on a ruined family treat. The worst Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in."
I regularly stay at the Premier Inn in Warwick when I go training at Leamington Spa. It is always clean, the food is great, and it’s completely reliable. Because of those positive experiences, I spent £280.98 on a room to treat my family to a couple of nights here while heading to Longleat Safari Park. I feel totally let down and genuinely wish I had booked an independent establishment instead.
The Room (Over £140 a night):
Hygiene & Temperature: There was no AC, making the room unbearably hot. The provided fan was so clogged with dust I didn't want to turn it on. The dust floating around the room was actually disgusting; I woke up to a thick layer of it built up on my phone screen.
Comfort: Two of the worst nights' sleep I've ever had. The beds were rock solid—it felt like sleeping on the floor.
Facilities: The shower was nothing more than a lukewarm mist, and the wall USB/USB-C sockets were completely broken.
Cleanliness: The kettle was gross. I originally thought my cups were dirty and went to get clean ones, but it turned out the kettle itself was dispensing bits of debris into the water.
The Restaurant (Beefeater):
On top of the room cost, we spent £70 on a meal at the attached Beefeater, and that was without puddings because the mains were so appalling we just wanted to leave. It was almost as if they had microwaved the life out of everything; the meats were chewy with a rubbery, plastic texture. I know Beefeater is closing down, and given this standard, I'm not surprised. I'm honestly glad nobody else will have to go through the misery of spending their hard-earned cash on a plate full of overcooked microwave meals.
The Staff:
The only positive was the staff, who were great—very polite and friendly. This poor review does not reflect on them in any way; they can only work with what they are given.
Conclusion:
It's a huge shame. I’m sure this was once a great hotel, but you have really let yourselves down. Taking over £350 from a loyal customer for a dirty room and terrible food is unacceptable, and this experience has completely put me off using Premier Inn in the future.

"High prices, low quality"
Boiling hot rooms, uncomfortable beds, located in the middle of nowhere and a restaurant service that is half-way through shutting down.
Pretty low end hotel experience for premium prices.

"Very disappointed and still coughing a week later"
Great location to longleat, good size family room but no aircon in rooms unless you’re in a plus room which they don’t do in family size. So it was very uncomfortable night, windows opened an inch and a very dirty dusty desk fan blowing warm air around. No one slept well, I was going to get cold drinks from the vending machine throughout the night because even the cold tap water wasn’t that cold. We tried wetting towels do dab on our bodies to cool down but it wasn’t nice. It spoilt the following day as everyone was tired and grumpy. So all that money, travel. Hotel, longleat tickets etc was wasted because everyone was tired and just wanted to come home. Restaurant wouldn’t provide table service because I hadn’t booked. Weird and they also didn’t say that they didn’t have chicken or fish and chips that evening until after drinks were ordered. So the kids couldn’t have chicken burgers and the adults couldn’t have hunters chicken or mixed grill. Lucky I don’t drink and I had to go find a McDonalds and KFC and bring it back to the room. Not exactly the relaxing evening and a nice meal we planned. TV is set to volume 25 which means anyone with hearing difficulties will struggle to hear it ( especially with a fan on ) unless sitting right under it and looking straight up.
There was hair and other stuff in the toilet when we arrived which was disgusting.
Breakfast was ok, awkward to do toast in the corner and people waiting for you to double back on yourself. The hot counter was busy so it’s either toast going cold or your fried breakfast. Toaster needs to better placed. Pancakes run out so kids only ended up with one, sausage may have been meat free but either way, not nice.
Missing scrambled eggs but had fried so ok. Very sour fruit and only apples available. No bananas or oranges.

"Ok..ish"
Lovely staff but our room was abit Sad compared to others we've stayed in. Toilet seat wrong size so unhygienic to use & no cleaner brush, also missing a loo roll holder & I fixed your coffee machine with glue as a bit was hanging off of it (you're welcome.) No shampoo or conditioner so take your own. Nice breakfast, close to longleat, good air con, tv & comfy bed. Local Budgens few minutes walk if need goodies for your stay.

"By far not the best Premier Inn. Way below the standard I'd come to expect from this brand of hotel."
Not the best Premier Inn I've stayed in by some margin. The room was OK but the heat in the room did not allow a good nights sleep. It was not a heatwave and relatively cool in the evening. The fan provided was completely ineffective on all 3 settings and made no difference to the heat or comfort. The room was clean enough but the corridors were really dirty!!
