Bridgwater North (A38) hotel

Lovely room in premier plus. Food excellent by chef Megan and servers Chloe, Clayton and new hire Duulay thank you and lovely receptionist Charlotte. Thank you all 😁

The location was ideal for the places we needed and wanted to go,staff were all super friendly and helpful, as we always find in any premier inn we stay,room was cool thanks to the fan already supplied,unfortunately my wife and myself both suffer with COPD so stairs are a problem, but the guy at reception gave us a room on the second floor,but after explaining the problem managed to get us a room on the first floor, plus the young lady helped with our bags,absolutely brilliant, only downside with the room was a leaky toilet, did report to reception on Saturday morning, but still leaking Monday when we left,but the staff gave us some extra towel to soak the water up ,obviously previous guests had not reported the leak,the bar is ok is where breakfast is served also evening meals reasonable prices happy staff as well.have booked again to stay here and specifically ask for ground floor,reception couldn't guarantee it,but we will see when we get there 😀 forgot to mention free parking also bus stop just over the road.

Echoing previous reviews re the dining experience. We had booked a meal deal. However on arriving at 6.20pm on a Wedneday evening we were told there was no possibility of a table until 9.30pm, despite the restaurant being virtually empty. The rest of our stay was OK. We had booked a twin room, but the room was not made up as such. The staff kindly re-made the room and refunded our twin booking fee.

The location is good for traveling however the bedroom was extremely hot and even worse in the evenings due to the warming of effect. On arrival a fan was running full and a window open in the room 105 which was thoughtful however it had absolutely no effect. Air conditioning is essential. Room thermostat was showing 28 c We could not sleep at all the first evening and left us drained and tied the next day and not what we wanted when having to commute to Woolacombe to see family. Second night was slightly better as the air temperature outside air temperature dropped. But Still we had the have a very noisy fan running all night and the window open which let in external noise,people chatting and smoking under the window.☹️We also opened the spare pillow bag in the room to find two pillows in disgusting condition soiled and stained with a pink substance? We left this with reception person who promised to replace them but it did not happen we had to go to reception on returning to the room again and ask for the pillows back and extra towels as the rooms was not serviced either.Overall a poor experience and we would not stay at this hotel again. Be aware if it extremly warm the hotel has NO AC

New updated room lovely, little extras like chocolate, extra drink sachets, water in a fridge. Iron etc. Disappointing food and service at evening meal.
