"I'll certainly stay there again!"
Excellent welcome from Charlotte who helped sort out a problem with room cleaning, brilliant all round service from Megan. Very good food but I was disappointed with one of my Happy Hour drinks - I really couldn't taste the gin in my G&T! Comfortable room & bed, pleased to see they now have The Social restaurant (though it does mean going outside to get to it) I understand that it is a part of a larger, older building which looks rather tired and doesn't give a very good first impression on arrival.

"Don’t think about booking. Worse frustrating experience within a Premier Inn. Manager should be ashamed"
Wish I had looked at the previous comments . What a shambles with regard to food. We were told despite paying for the evening meal there were no tables !! Looked in a 8 on and there were 4 people. The staff are surly and ‘sorry’ probably because they have the same problem each night. One chef 2 servers. Despite this obviously happening repeatedly by the other comments we were advised to google somewhere to eat . A hotel is supposed to be a place of rest and a little sanctuary ……if you are expecting this don’t go anywhere near the Premier Inn Bridgwater North - can’t wait for breakfast in the morning NOT !!!!!!

"Worst stay was visiting sick mum"
Awful room was ok corridors were disgusting dusty not been hoovered.we asked rec to book table for dinner she said time I said I need to call the person see if that time was ok stood in reception calling them in the meantime she gave the booking to someone else.thensaid you'll have to go to restaurant and ask it will have to be two tables as chef can't cope cooking for 5 we went there not for it to open at 5.30 so we didn't bother went elsewhere , couldn't even have a drink there after a 2 hour drive ridiculous.breakfast that was a joke I paid for contenatal went in the morning no fried eggs hubby asked for some as he had the full English there was no croissants she said be out soon someone else asked for bacon there were no summer fruits gave up asking they should keep eye on these things and topped up IE past experience as worked in hotel for 22 years ,any way croissants finally came out I took abite it had a big hair in it so in the end I didn't have any breakfast..

"Beware of strange men loitering"
Firstly we couldn’t get on the WiFi, normal WiFi had no service and although we had a premier plus room, we didn’t receive the code through email until we had checked in, and there was no phone signal at all in the building. Wasn’t until we went back outside to reception to ask about WiFi that I got a small amount of 4g to receive the email.
The worst part of our stay however, the hotel is directly opposite a police station, now I don’t know for certain if this relates but around 2 in the morning my partner woke up and heard something outside. So after while she went out to have a smoke, as couldn’t get back to sleep. The premier plus rooms are in a separate building to the rest, and as she went out there was a scruffy looking man sat inside the entrance doorway. The entrance has an automatic opening door which leads into an area where you then need your cars to get into the building. This outside door isn’t locked and it appears this chap had just gone in and sat down in there because it was warm and dry. He first asked her for a cigarette to which she declined, then when she came back in, he asked again!! She quickly tried to get the door card to let herself in through the locked door, but heard a camera phone click and when she turned it appeared he has took a picture up her dressing gown from behind, he then tried to hold the door open but she got it shut. I was annoyed in the morning that she hasn’t woken me when she got back to the room so I could go confront the man. Although probably for the best as I may have ended up in the police hotel!!!
This was not acceptable and I reported it to reception in the morning when we checked out. The lady didn’t seem too concerned by our concern and just shook her head but I may be wrong. I was fuming inside.
I would like a response from the company regarding this as it is not acceptable.

"Appalling"
Well I don’t normally do this.
I very often just put up and shut up BUT not this time.
Step forward Premier Inn for one of the worst budget hotels available
Flattering to deceive springs to mind!
Having used Premier Inn many times in the past I’ve thought it was clean cheap(ish) and cheerful.
Decent rooms
Meals were enjoyable and ok
Breakfast was always really nice and something that meant you could fill up and were really set for all day without needing to eat lunch etc.
So we booked Premier Inn Bridgwater North on a visit to Somerset to visit my son’s new home.
What a joke!
We arrive the place looks like an abandoned trading estate
Foot high weeds and not looked after grounds but never mind it’s inside that counts.
So we had booked a Premier Plus Room.
Nothing special considering it’s an upgraded room.
A dressing table that was maybe 6inches wide (a shelf) and a stool next to the bedroom door!
Lovely!!
A window that does not open
Whose idea was that - fresh air in a room where hundreds of people had slept in before might be nice - just a thought!
The room DID have air conditioning which it had to have.
The room was basic and to be fair if that’s an up graded room I dread to think what the rest are like.
We arrived around 6 and called in to the tiny restaurant that is way too small to accommodate the size of the hotel, to book a table for food. We told they couldn’t do us any food until 8.45pm.
So we accepted that and after going to our room
We went to restaurant to have a glass of wine before we ate. The restaurant was virtually empty - maybe 6 people eating - but they couldn’t cook a meal for us until 8.45!!
They had an offer on drinks, 2 for £10 with flyers, posters and table cards advertising this all over.
So when we ask what they have - they had nothing to offer.
So had to pay full price at extortionate rates.
So the girl came over early and said you can order now if you’d like but after reeling off a shopping list of all the things they didn’t have there wasn’t much left to pick from.
At this point we were handed menus and given a couple of minutes to decide - before the waitress returned we asked for more time - she was straight back
We asked for another few minutes she returned almost immediately.
Nothing like irritating the hell out of you!
When the meal arrived it was mass produced bog standard food. I could have cooked a better meal myself.
The whole experience was a joke.
A group arrived at the restaurant, clearly staying at the hotel and were turned away for food, having been told the restaurant can’t cater for a party of 6!
So the next morning you look forward to your breakfast - hopefully they can redeem themselves-BUT NO.
So we arrive at the restaurant - not too busy great- we get a lukewarm coffee and some toast and then head to buffet bar.
Oh well never mind.
Firstly there were no plates to help yourself to the non existent food so we wait and we wait and then we wait and the chef appears with a few under cooked bits of bacon to have along side the 1 sausage that all 6 of waiting diners have to share and the non existent tomatoes, egg or black pudding.
There were plenty beans clearly no one likes beans
Well I suppose that £24 (2 breakfasts) was well spent!
Bottom line - up your game Premier Inn or those other budget hotel chains that were always considered the worst are going to be way ahead of you.
My advice - go somewhere else!
