      "‘Mediocre’ Inn"
We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a friendly helpful receptionist who informed us that the room will likely be hot as it was a warm night. The room had a fan but if we wanted another or a bedsheet to let her know - great start and welcome after a long journey. The room was warm, but the fan helped. Room a little tired and in need of some maintenance- usb socket broken, bedside lights not working, flickering bulb outside of the room. One of the doors in the corridor slammed shut. All easily fixable. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Bathroom needed a good deep clean rather than just a quick turnaround clean. Skirting was dusty and hairy. Attempted to eat in the pub/restaurant. Went in at 7:30 and looked relatively quiet. Met promptly and was informed that we couldn’t get a table until 9 - odd as not full by any means, but presumed more guests were on there way, so we headed into Bridgwater to eat. Came back around 9:15 and popped back in for a drink. There were 2 families of four in the restaurant- odd seeing they couldn’t fit us in earlier. Fancied a Guinness,” oh we stopped selling that a while ago”, attempted to order a lemonade, “we don’t have any” attempted to ask for Fanta/tango “we don’t have any” no alternatives were offered and it clearly felt that they just didn’t care, poor customer service and a distinct lack of professionalism. We chose not to have breakfast in the morning based on our experience and having now read other reviews, we made the right choice. Just feels the restaurant is being run down or they just don’t want to serve food or drinks. Wouldn’t stay here again.
      "Reliable as ever"
No surprises; got what you expect with a Premier Inn. Clean, quiet, comfortable and good location. No complaints. Staffing shortage made the restaurant a problem, but this is becoming an issue in the hospitality sector generally. For an overnight stop, returning from Cornwall, this did the job.
      "Give this one a miss……"
The only good thing about my stay was the check in with a lovely lady. Efficiently done. The set in the shower was grubby at best and the room smelled musty. The breakfast was poorly cooked and there were no clean tables to sit at. Took far too long to be seated. Definitely not value for money at over £150. Utter madness.
      "A cosy overnight stay"
Stayed in this premier inn a few nights ago. We have stayed before as we find its location and facilities ideal. With a king size bed and tv we find the facilities ideal. There is a fine pub right next door offering a good choice of meals. Located near the M5 it is ideal for north and south bound journeys.
      "Appalling Restaurant"
The hotel itself is fine, standard Premier Inn & the staff are lovely, accommodating & friendly. Unfortunately it is massively let down by the restaurant. We’ve eaten at Premier Inn restaurants many times. Their Table Table restaurants have always been OK. Obviously not gourmet food but standard pub grub that’s OK. This one however was diabolical. I had a prawn cocktail which said it came with granary bread but what turned up was a slice of white cardboard bread with two pats of wrapped butter. I then had scampi & chips with mushy peas & tartare sauce. The scampi was OK but it was all obviously frozen & just shoved in the oven. The mushy peas & tartare sauce looked like it had been thrown from across the room & by pure luck had landed on the plate. Roadkill would have looked more presentable. It makes me ashamed to be British. If someone from elsewhere in Europe ate here they would be appalled at the sub-standard food on offer. Come on Premier Inn, surely you can do better than this.
