Telford International Centre hotel

Is this had been our first experience with Premier Inn, we would never use them again. Our recent experience in early July at PI Caernarfon was superb. For anyone with mobility issues its worth noting that there is no onsite parking, due to hotel being in a pedestrian location. Parking is in 'nearby' multi storey or a patch of grass nearer that accommodates about 10 cars and is full constantly. Lots of nice restaurants around a lake. Reception is on a different level than the one you enter, needing a lift. The very friendly & helpful girl on reception seemed to be doing a 100 jobs = in the restaurant/carrying towels/booking in - all done on the tiniest desk, blink and you could miss it. She was doing other things so took us all a while to book in. The corridors were extremely smelly, like dirty wet cloths and the air conditioning in our room sounded like a plane taking off - so pleased we were only staying one night. Beds were the usual high comfort & it was good to relax in the bath at the end of the day. No one to be seen when checking out

The room was a normal PI room, comfortable bed, clean with a good shower etc. Breakfast was excellent - special thanks should go to the very friendly helpful staff member "in charge" of breakfasts during our visit (8/12 June). You park in a "nearby" multi storey car park, with a discounted rate for PI guests. The only problem was that because of road closures we found it very difficult to actually get to the specified car park - maybe a map would be helpful !!

We booked in overnight on Thursday 4th June. Used self book in which was straightforward. Room clean. We had the meal deal. Very quiet in restaurant but satisfactory service and food. Chose the banoffee cheesecake as it was a new option on the menu but this was unavailable and chose a chocolate sundae instead. Hotel was quiet and A good night’s sleep. Breakfast was far nicer. Again we were the only customers. The cooked breakfast was freshly cooked and was delicious. The croissants were fresh and delicious as well. We were looked after by two female members of staff who were very pleasant and helpful. They made us feel welcomed as soon as we entered the restaurant. We’re able to validate our parking which cost £3 from a nearby car park.

As a wheelchair user Premier Inn is generally my go to when travelling in the UK as I know what to expect. Ideal location for the International Centre where I was attending an event, this Premier Inn is situated above a block of restaurant units and with the reception on the first floor, it is accessed from a ground floor at the corner of the block with initial entry gained via an intercom to reception. There is no onsight car parking but there are plenty of nearby car parks with a reasonably priced multi story car recommended by Premier Inn. My adapted bedroom was fabulous with a comfortable bed and excellent wetroom styled bathroom. There is a restaurant onsight where breakfast and evening meals are served but the menu is limited and I find the Premier inn breakfast overpriced so rarely take it. However, there is an abundance of fast food, budget and more expensive restaurants around so you won't go hungry. Staff were always on hand and were polite and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
